Any signs of Plymouth building a side for 2013 & who would you want in the side
-
The riders would have more then 2 weeks because if the work is done mid feb there is a good chance we won't open till the last week kf march less league cup matches .
-
Solid looking side yet again from the diamonds . I thought Leicester had a strong team but if they stay clear of injury then they will top the league but then its down to the play offs as you well know from 2012
-
I know this team would not do any good in a actual match but this is 1-7 of riders who impressed me in 2012 while staying under 42.5 1. Craig Cook (Edinburgh) 2. David Bellego (Berwick) 3. Richie Worrall (Newcastle) 4. Ashley Birks (Scunthorpe) 5. Andres Mellgren (Rye House) 6. Mason Campton (Glasgow) 7. Tom Perry (Somerset)

I think the reason they didn't want it changed during the season was because they were chasing the play offs and felt if the track was changed mid season it might take them a few weeks to master the new lines which could have ended up in us losing matches that were in vital. I feel the decision was the right one as we made the play offs & remained unbeaten at home in the PL

If you noticed i also put Magnus said he couldn't afford to ride PL. I'm just shocked that i have been accused of spreading s**t when i am only writing what i have ready via the 2 party facebook.
-
Well again that is my opinion about Magnus not being able to pass if he misses the gate. That is not me spreading lie that is me expressing my view. But we clearly disagree on that frot. Again i can't say i have spread lie ref Magnus not wanting to ride in the uk simply putting what has been released by both partys. Of course Magnus is allowed to change his mind i never said he wasn't or criticised him for doing so. In fact totally the opposite i really hope he does get fixed up next season & scores well just not against us .
-
If you read Leicester facebook it gives a statement saying under the pay cap rules Magnus couldn't afford to ride PL. Then when Magnus denied it on his facebook glyn said he has the messagea tell him he was not riding in the uk. As for Eklof that is my opinion which i am entitled to but the fact was he didn't want to ride PL last year he said it himself.
-
I'm not doubting that. Magnus was super professional & was very good team man aswell as keeping morale in the team up when things got tough. But i just felt too often if he missed the gate he rarely passed anyone. I for one would love him to sign for Sheffield & score 15 every week then just have 4 bad matches vs Leicester next season
-
What do you mean by that ?
-
Magnus was too inconsistent last season then he appeared to tell Leicester he couldn't afford to ride premier league with the new pay cap rules so Leicester built a team without him. But in the last 24 hours it appear Magnus has had a change of heart & would like a premier league club next season. Linus Eklof was never coming back to Leicester he said as much at the end of the season. I think Leicester served a purpose he was without a club & out of form after Belle Vue. He openly admitted he didn't want to drop down but he needed the racing to regain form & the money. With his race schedule on the continent in 2013 alot busier & with pay cap rules he may just give the uk a miss in 2013. Sadly with no Jari Makinen in the Leicester side that might be the last we see of Jari in the uk because i can't see any other club wanting to sign him after his dreadful away form at Leicester. He is very much a 1 track rider and his average is very high for the rider he is.

Sign who ?? Roynon has signed for Leicester. Maggie wouldn't be a good signing for Sheffield imo . He is too much of a gater & if he misses the gate he may aswell go stright back to the pits because he can't pass which is vital round Sheffield
-
I think us lions fans need to put things in perspective. We gave signed a very good looking 2013 side but it doesn't automatically mean we will win the league. Look at Ipswich perfect example the last 2 seasons they have signed " title winning sides" yet didn't even make the top 2. Its about who have the team spirit. & ride as a team . Look at Scunthorpe everyone wrote them off before last season yet they now have the silverware in the cabinet.
-
It is no longer his local track. He has now moved into a house with his girlfriend in the west midlands. I can understand his decision to sign for Leicester with the pay cap whats the point traveling 100's of miles to ride a home match using expensive fuel. When for exactly the same money he can be home 2 hours after the end of a home match if need be.
-
Adam Roynan has today signed for Leicester in 2013. If he can stay fit he will be a quality signing
-
There is more chance of Richard Sweetman coming back to Leicester then us signing Craig Cook but hey we dare to dream. Suprised no-one has suggested we bring Sergey "meerkat" Darkin back for 2013.
-
I think thats what you call a dream team lol.
-
I think the problem with Jari was some away matches he was beaten by conditions or the track you could tell by his riding style. If he got better equipment & his confidence issues sorted then he could be an ok 2nd string. I would back him to score at home but not away. Must admit i didn't take the U21's into consideration when picking my side

Just been playing with some figures the best yeam i can come up with is 1. Kauko Nieminen 8.18 2. Jan Graversen 4.91 3. Sam Masters 7.43 4. Jacob Thorsell 5.00 5. Nick Morris 8.00 6. Jari Makinen 4.56 7.Simon Nielsen 4.08 Total 42.16 Thats based on Thorsell 5.00 average being correct which im not sure if it is or not. What is everyones thoughts on that side above
-
What is this wage cap ?? Is it league rules or just Leicester. What are the rules of the wage cap ??
-
Wow Mason Campton is a good signing. Solid looking side already. I always feel for the comets because they ALWAYS build a solid title challanging side that gets taken to pieces by injury.
-
What about Nick Morris he has been left out of Scunthorpe's 1-7 ?? I believe he is on a 8.00 average
-
Gutted to see Dudley have not stepped up Is this through choice of your promotion or because they applied but turned down for " the good of british speedway" like Leicester's application for Elite League
-
So leicester stay premier league :-) Now for the team building we MUST start we Nemo & Bjerre.
-
My mistake i didn't realise there was a 2nd event in dec. hopefully i can get a centre pass again unlike the speedway.
