I believe some money from Colins estate was used to buy aa 25% stake in Peninsula promotions and the rest of the money was paid out to the named trustees/legatees earlier this year. -

Somerset And The Confederate Flag
barncooseboy replied to drvortexz's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The flag or emblem of the COUNTY of Cornwall consists of a series of golden balls from 5 to 1 mounted in a black shield with a miner on one side and I think its a chough on the other with ONE AND ALL on a banner below -
Premier League - Too Big A Step?
barncooseboy replied to Truro Robin's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The Conference League, as it then was, was essential to the EL promoters at the time because it demonstrated that British Speedway was trying to train young British riders to come through and eventually replace the foreign riders on visas, so that no more visas would be issued. -
Somerset And The Confederate Flag
barncooseboy replied to drvortexz's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I thought TRURO would have been on here by now celebrating the independance granted to Cornwall yesterday by that Cornish holiday maker David Cameron, it will take a while to build the border posts but probably best that you bring your passports from now on. Talking of flags the Cornish flag is a lot of balls. The Black and white one is St Pirans flag and seems to be taking over. -
Peterborough V Plymouth Pl 28th June

Dont see why it was such a surprise Devils nearly won at Posh in the KO Cup and anyway its revenge for Peterborough buying Plymouths league position in 1970 from Fredf Osborn which ulimately resulted in no speedway in Plymouth from 1970 to 2005 Perhaps the clubs should swap teams. -
Berwick V Plymouth 20/6/15
barncooseboy replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Dont know about Berwick but in the main Plymouth market a Day Stall is £6.25 Tried to get it off the ground for this season but asked for help to do it, none forthcoming. A5 Flyers sent by post to 150 camp sites, garages, motorbike shops in the Plymouth area together with an invite to join us free, only 1 takeup so far. Used post because it would have taken forever to deliver by hand Polish shops delighted to take English language flyers as long as it has a rider piccy on it. Even after 10 years local taxis still dont know there is speedway in Plymouth let alone where it is!!!! Decision making for local branches of national companies taken elsewhere, company owned garages are NOT ALLOWED by head office to display local advertising, Macdonalds are normally franchises so can and will advertise in the programme but seem controlled by national policy on poster display in the shops Plymouth currently has the use of a supporter supplied and maintained sign written tranny pickup with about 10,000 LEDs that visits various shows, the 5 metre rolls of LEDS are currently sold by Maplin at about £50 OR GET THEM DIRECT FROM CHINA FOR ABOUT £10 see www.DHGate.com but make each parcel less than about £25 to avoid HMRC charging VAT (and the courier companies then add about £12 for collecting HMRCs money on top) and watch out for HMRC doing a 1$ is £1 currency calculation Hope Belle Vue will manage to get the new stadium opening into Corrie as a storyline, Rickie is probably a bit old to make a comeback in Eastenders. -

A loan fee has to be paid even if the loanee gets injured in his first match -
Frank was forced into retirement as a referee by a sudden serious medical condition, something akin to RSI I believe but more severe. Super guy, was always glad to see him and I bet nthe Ben Fund misses him too Lets not forget that in the event of a serious accident related to a H & S failure it is the ref that carries the can all the way to court and beyond

Just sppoken to Ryan Fisher, he is devastated by yet more engine problems last night. His engines wernt back to his tuner of choice after last weeks problems at Posh, ithey were caused by a bolt falling out of the rockers, last night what happened after the tuners efforts during the past week, a bolt or stud felll out of the rockers within seconds of firing up and was found ithis morning in the chain locker not broken, had just screwed itself out and fallen, nut still on it. How do you fight things like that? Just spoken to a friend he suggests a firm kick in the slats
