  1. Personally I think the content has been excellent for this close season. The only gripe I have is the amount of mudged pages and blurred typeface. The article on Phil Morris last week and this weeks Berwick review spring to mind as bad. The white text on black blackground this week was pretty much unreadable.
  2. Armando and Phil. I would love to see Nikki try it on next season! Big congrats.

  5. I had not realised he was injured. I wrongly presumed he had retired.
  6. I still think it is odd they run most Fridays against the localish Somerset. That must affect both tracks attendances. I am often in Devon for the weekend and it really annoys me i cannot got to speedway on both Friday and Saturday.
  7. So where have I spoken about Schlein? I was discussing the validity of a person choosing to change nations. So hardly nonsense. The thread had actually got people talking about real issues which this list is often lacking these days because <removed - unacceptable language and personal attack on poster>
  8. In this day and age of mass people movement it will be hard to stop such things happening. If a person chooses to reside in a country for a set period of time, pays taxes and works in that country, then subsequently owns a house and has kids born in that country and qualifies for a passport then I cannot see any issue with it.
  9. It's a shame he has pulled out but if he feels he cannot compete both physically, mentally and mechanically for what works out as 1/4 of the weekends a year at the highest level then he has been very sensible. Why ruin a career for a short term gamble. His type of injuries often it hurts more the day after riding / exercise so practice on a Friday, GP Saturday and Poland on a Sunday I bet his body is spent. Big respect to him.
  10. http://www.bksb.lv/en/rietumu-bank-latvian-fim-speedway-grand-prix-tickets/ Stumbled across this link while trying to decide if I am going or not.
  11. Yep, no GP speedway will result in at least 3 people i know leaving Sky. I think they underestimate losing Speedway from Sky will have on there subscriber base.
  12. There will be alot worse teams out there in 2013. People need to remember every club has a budget to work to and even through some riders may not be favoured they all want to do their best. Given the right conditions Workington have a solid side, for sure they could have cherry picked and got some more fancied riders but then they would have to have wanted to ride up in Cumbria every weekend and extra costs could have prevented that. You only have to look at a team like Ipswich expensive, attractive on paper sides for the last 2 seasons but failed for a number of reasons to deliver on track.
  13. Over the years I have warmed to Nicki, so if Greg cannot then I prefer him too. Holder is one of the new breed of Aussies with immense talent, but I am not convinced by their party all the time ethics. The likes of Adams, Wiltshire and Crump were total professionals and great ambassadors. Very was very little to dislike about them. Holder, Ward, Watt, Nick Morris, to name a few need to take a leaf out of their elders.
  14. I did not think he was that great at Poole last year I preferred Dudek but he seems to have improved immensely. I hope Poland use some of the youngsters in SWC.
  15. Very flippant of you, thanks. Where exactly did I say he deserves a place next year? Currently I do not think Britian has a gp class rider but we all know there will be one in there next year. Is Tai really better than Chris for next season?
  16. Speaking with someone at the track take away the tapes exclusion and being stuffed on the 1st bend by Larsen and kasprzak in two others heats he done quite well on a gate and go track. Sadly he will be moved on for Tai in 2013. Not sure despite what Tai may say I doubt he is ready yet.
  17. Thing with this year, the race off will be a near sell out as the Brits are almost certain to be there. The final will be a sell out as small stadium and should feature Tomasz Gollob and Rune Holta. There will be good viewing from all round the stadium and quite close up to the action and when racing is on who really cares what the stadium is like? The combine ticket currently works out cheaper than twp EL meetings which is cracking good value. I think in a small compact stadium the atomsphere should be electric.
  18. No i was told they will be sent 10 days before the event.
  19. Lee Richardson £500 to win 66/1. Not a bad bet
