Hello all, I have been reading the debate on track shape for a while now. I also think it is wrong, I think by moving the inside curb back up the straits a good way would give more lines into the corner. at the moment the track looks like it has a D each end. I could not understand why it was so hard to move the drains away from the inside curbs?? I thought all you would have to do was remove the covers, lower them and seal them off, the put new drain holes further in to the infield. could still keep the drainage system that was there but would just have to run pipes under ground to the original holes. But I am told this can not be done due to the fact that it is not like a normal drainage system where the water just flows away, but in fact under the bends are big water tanks that collect all the water, and they would need to be moved, I think that is where the great expense would come in?? I am not a ground worker so would not really know how much it would cost ? Or how long it would take to do?? If the info I have been given is wrong then I am sorry, and hope some one could put me right, but if it is correct they it may explain why it has not been done?
