  1. I get your impression of the track , but this might sound a bit strange but if you stand on the track and look at it from that angle it looks different agan.
  2. Last Friday I spent hours taking water off the track, 90 thousands ltrs approximately, then 3 people worked that track for hours and hours, last week they were lucky, no rain after the work had been done, this week its forecast heavy rain later in the day, so it's a big risk,
  3. Track work started straight after the season finished and is on going, no major alterations, a lot of time and effort being put in to repair certain areas of the track,
  4. Out of interest I have just gone over the cubs meetings, home and away. Dan or Joe have beaten Palin. Phillips. Flint. Bickley. J. Smith. Wilson. Ledwith. Gilkes. Rowe. Clegg. Perry. Bailey. At Beaumont park. Bickley. Palin. Phillips. Clegg. J. Smith. Rowe away from home. 6 of those riders have signed for clubs in the CL for next season. With a good chance a few more may follow. With the experience the twins have around BP I don't see them having a problem. They have ridden the track in all sorts of conditions, slick, with dirt, very wet, bone dry, so they really do know it well. Away from home may be more of a challenge, but I am confident they will overcome what ever is thrown at them. It is my understanding they have put, and will continue to put good investment into their equipment for the new season. So from my point of view, I will be backing and encouraging them the best I can.
  5. He will be riding in the 4s at Stoke on sat.
  6. Connor Mountain. NBJ. Nicolai Klindt That would be a nice start to our team.
  7. BSPA site has been updated Cov vs Eastbourne 20/10/18. 6.30 start.
  8. Great news, really pleased Josh will be back with us.
  9. How can this be? If he is an old promoter , who was banned how could he personally have an asset base?
  10. It is my understanding, BT are not covering any of the cost !!!
  11. By the looks of it, Brandon has some new unwanted guests,
  12. The reason it has to be so low is due to a complaint about noise to the council.
  13. You are not wrong, it was Josh Bates who tried it first, he ended the night on 14 + 1 I think, the tight line into turn 1 and out of 2 is the new part of the track,
  14. Well this sounds like a personal attack to me? Not someone who is concerned about the track. Please correct me if I am wrong?
  15. I think the rule about 2 mins and centre green are linked and were changed at the same time. Riders were going over centre green when they would not of made it to the tapes in the 2 mins if they rode around the track. So for safety reasons, no one is allowed on centre green, also I think you only have to be under power and on track and not at the tapes when the 2 mins has elapsed .
  16. gracan, I hope you made the meeting, I hope you had an enjoyable night, accept the result of course.
  17. Sorry can not give any info today, I will be in Nottingham all day, should just get back in time for the meeting.
  18. Lots of work been done, I have been told its all good !! soft spot had been dealt with, People been working very hard by the looks of it. I have watched heavy machinery driving over it and it looks solid.
  19. Not exactly what you said, is it? Quote, That's me out then. Saw this coming a mile off ! Up to you what you do, nothing to do with me to be honest, I will be there, I am also sure if it is not on for whatever reason then plenty of warning would be given. I will take walk up to the track today, see if anyone is there, see what info I can get for you?
  20. Spoke to Danny last night, only a few words, asked what he thought about the track changes, he said the first 2 bend look a lot better and the straights look quite a bit shorter so should make a real difference.
  21. Understand not all Swindon fans live in Swindon. But as he did not state that he lived elsewhere I am not to know. I guess Gemini you must know where grachan lives as you quote 400 miles round trip. Swindon to Leicester is no more than 100 miles. My point is, if you are going to stay away then that's fine but please do not rubbish the meeting, which may affect others who read this forum.
  22. I am no track man, but from what I could see it was a very small part of the new bit of track, exit from turn 2 close to the kerb. Understand your concerns with travel, but to me Swindon to Leicester is about 2 hours drive, as I drive for a living I do not class that as very far, but also accept not everyone is like me. As for the guests its not my place to say, sure the club will release the names as and when they feel fit to do so.
  23. I think some people on here are being a bit harsh on the new promotion regarding the track. 6 weeks ago we very nearly had nothing !! We now have a promotion, who at great expense have tried to do what we were all asking for, track changes. Its my understanding after changing the track a soft spot appeared, it was ripped up and retried, If I am correct? It has had to be dug up again, this time going even deeper, just to try and get rid of the offending soft spot, Not ideal, but just do not think they deserve the comments they are receiving on here. Guests are booked for Sat, Why not just give it a go? Instead of being so negative saying you are going to stay away.
