Not sure where you have got your information, but should you putting out that sort of information without Ash's permission or knowledge, not that I am saying that the information is not true.
In reference to his sponsors depends who you term his main sponsors are, I was making reference to Wossskow Brown who are a firm based in Sheffield.
I very much doubt if that would be the case, but if the lad can steer clear of injuries I think that he could well be challenging for a number 1 slot be it Sheffield or another club.
The big problem that you may find with Saturday nights will be trying to attract riders, Eastbourne seem to have a similar problem. With Saturday GP nights and Poland on a Sunday.
It is a massive bold move, there is no reason why they cannot use Saturday nights, but it would be advisable.
I can see all the logistic reasons why they what to make the move, but I cannot help feel that it could all end in tears, I hope not and I wish them all the luck in the world.
Workington have always built attractive looking sides, and its a bit of a mystery to me why they have not won many honours over the years maybe next year could be the year of The Comet.
Possibly the reason for thinking that Ashley might be hankering for a move to Sheffield is the fact that his main sponsors are Sheffield based and also team sponsors at Sheffield, so maybe that is where people might be getting the idea from.
But if the lad did become available then I am sure or would hope that Sheffield might show an interest in the lad, he is still very popular with the Sheffield crowd and he is a good rider.
But I would be very surprised if Scunny were to release him, and I am not holding out on any hopes of seeing Ashley in Sheffield colours next season.
That would be a wicked top 5, but it would leave you very vulnerable at the bottom end, and even including Ashley Morris on 3 point average it leaves you with very few decent options out there, and any that last slot would be rider that you would have to gamble on.
Not going to deny that I think that the Ricky Ashworth situation could and should have been dealt with better, but to suggest that the team is built on the cheap after two signings is daft.
