  1. Well my nomination for Team Manager would go to Halifax Tiger. He has an excellent winning mentality (he won the raffle yet again at Birmingham last night) He has those lucky shorts, not only does it shower some look on the team, but also with those legs bound to bring in a large contingent of females who would come just see Tiger's legs. And he is good at filling in a programme. Has to be a done deal..
  2. Congratulations to Bandits, end of the day the best team on the night won. Nice to meet up with my Bandits friends again. Also a big well done to the track staff for getting the meeting on apparent certain part of the track had been under water, not that you would have guess looking at the track before the meeting started. And some of the Sheffield riders need to take a long hard look in the mirror at themselves then look at Chris Schramm, because that guy puts in 100% every race and has no luck. Been a long hard season supporting the Tigers this season, roll on 2013. And again Well Done The Bandits. Any one know if its still raining in Scunthorpe.
  3. Still raining at Sheffield, but the forecast is good showers till 1.00pm, and then the rain stops and sun shine from 6.00 pm onwards. Generally they reckon providing the rain stops by dinnertime the track will be okay.
  4. Quick question,or clarification of the rules; Alden is not injured or riding in a FIM meeting, should Berwick be allowed a facility. I thought in cases like this teams were only allow to cover with a National League Guest.
  5. So it will be the lucky shorts, Plymouth programme board. And a winning raffle ticket.
  6. Very bold move by the Somerset promotion, Vissing a very good and fast rider, but does come off the bike very often and seems to spend lots of time on the injury list. As for Sam Masters Sheffield have a spot in their team that would suit him fine.
  7. I think a lot will depend on what gate positions. If Josh gets two gate four positions twice then I think he will struggle to make the semi's.
  8. Hats off to the Glasgow Promotion, and lets hope it is a success. Proves even though the present Promotion is looking to sell the club on they are still committed to the club.
  9. I think you will find the Olly Allen is out injured with a broken arm, and likely to be out for the rest of the season.
  10. Well Done Scunthorpe on another victory over, and I am sure that they walk it into the Play Offs. Poor season for us at Sheffield, but at least after all the big talking on what Scunthorpe were going to do to us we still got the better of the 4 head to head meetings this season. Points Taken from League and Trophy matches Scunthorpe 6 Sheffield 7 Race points from League and Trophy matches Scunthorpe 177 Sheffield 179 I suppose if you are going to have a poor season at least amke sure you get the better of your local rivals. .
  11. What is Glynn Taylor's record as a Team Manager, and has he ever been a Team Manager? As far as I am aware his expertise is as a Track Curator. For me the appointment seems very strange, sacked from one job to be re employed doing another job.
  12. Looks like I am going to be busy tonight, watching Gorzow v The Mighty Falubaz, while checking on the updates from the Newcastle v Sheffield meeting. Come on Falubaz and the Tigers.
  13. Not a bad meeting from the Bydgoszcz, and Tarnow meeting but I did feel that Tarnow made heavy work of it.
  14. Great I am working this Sunday so that gives me plenty of time to get back for the match. Thursday could be tricky, but hopefully I can get back from work early to watch that one before I go for the Sheffield home match (weather permitting) And then two matches for the Sunday. Starting to feel better already.
  15. Saw Gjedde at Sheffield last week and I have to say that he looked far better around Sheffield than the 3 occasion's I saw him last season at Sheffield. And the track at Sheffield was not that slick or a dust bowl.
  16. Or maybe Belle Vue and the rider might not want him to make the move.
  17. I think apart from Barker and Fisher, who you would imagine will get decent points where ever they go the rest of the team will be under great scrutiny. The big problem that I see with Plymouth is the riders that have signed then not signed, and I would imagine that it must have been unsettling for riders that have eventually sign to ride for Plymouth only to be told that Plymouth were then interested in Leigh Lanham.
  18. Not saying that Ben Barker is a poor rider, just that on the two occasions last season that he came to Sheffield that he was very disappointing when even Sheffield 2nd strings beat him. I will agree that Plymouth will be very hard to beat on their own track, and some teams will possibly take a bit of a beating, but away from home I cannot see them making any improvements, especially if Barker or Fisher have an off night.
