If it is a cost cutting exercise why are the Edinburgh Promotion claiming they will not pay wage demands of the British youngsters. Whether or not you agree with the new ruling or not, its here that is what you have to do with regards the team building. To me it appears that the Edinburgh promotion for once have messed up on their team building. Most clubs sorted out the 3 point reserves early on in their team building which is the sensible way to do as it is apart from the points limit it is the only compulsory rule in team building.

The idea of the Fast track reserves is to provide a way through for riders from the National League to Premier League. Its designed to provided opportunity for British riders to gain the chance to step up in the leagues rather than using lowly averaged foreign riders. One of the criteria to qualify is that a rider must have ridden in the National League for one season. Mitchell Davey can have a British passport, he can change his name to Hamish McDade and wear Union Jack boxer shorts, he still will not fit the criteria that allows him to gain one of the positions end of story. If he is allowed in then the rules have been relaxed and the whole exercise has been a waste of time. End of the day Davey will need to do a season in the National League to qualify.

Concept is not a rule.

Like I have said I saw Zach ride three times last season at Sheffield. He was okay but I would not say that he made me think that he is a superstar in the making. the first meeting was an Inter league match Sheffield v Cradley both teams made up of mainly National League riders, he did okay in that meeting but failed to win a race if my memory serves me he got paid 8 from 5 rides. The next he Guested for us at home to Edinburgh, had three rides and got a paid win, but was gifted to him and if Branford had not packed up just before the line it would have been a solitary point. The last meeting three rides 1 point, and to be honest he only got that because Josh Bates messed up the start in heat 2. In saying that I would not have been too disappointed if we had signed him, but like a lot of the draft riders especially the ones with no or limited Premier League experience I think they are going to find points hard to come by, mainly because the points limit has not changed in the Premier League and looking at teams they nearly teams other reserve are very strong.

Robert Lambert is head and shoulders above any other young Brit. Saw young Zach three occasions last season, he did well but would not rate him over the likes of Josh Bates or Adam Ellis.

End of the day the Promoters are coming up with something that new and a little bit different, for change I think as fans we should give it a go, and of course it has to be priced right for your average punter to afford it. On a personal note I would be more inclined to go this kind of meetings than say the GP at Cardiff. Don't fully agree with Peterborough been seeded straight through to the final, but with 13 teams in the league I suppose someone has to be seeded only other alternative has to be one team missing out. -

So Porsing it is then. Not Bjerre or Karlsson or the Polish dude that was touted. It is a very solid Panthers team, that looks as though it has potential written all over it, and should get better as the season moves along providing they can stay fit. It will be interesting to see how Porsing does go, as he has spent all of his British career in the Elite League with Kings Lynn he might be in for a bit of a shock the Premier League is a harder league that he might think. -

I am missing something here. Why does Lambert have to leave the club if signs to ride for Kings Lynn in the Elite League. -
I don't think there is any more that could be added to thoughts regarding the fixture for Sheffield fans other than that some may have already have tickets for Belle Vue. Poor planning by the Leicester Promotion, where they seem to have put themselves up against the opening of what is to be the new National stadium, could be a costly lesson to learn. Can we win, not particularly bothered as long as we are competitive and give the Lions a run for their money.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Yes Mr Havelock is out of order with his excessive transfer fee, if what has been read is lead to believe. But if Kus did what he did is wrong as well telling his club that he would be not doing Britain this year. The whole thing is getting very messy and needs sorting out one way or another.

Two changes means releasing either Lambert or Palm Toft by reckoning. Does anyone know whether or not Porsing is riding in Poland next season? -
The problem that you have is that your options appear to be very limited, whether that be one or two rider changes.
-
Correct discounting the British reserve at Edinburgh, only four place remaining. Newcastle and Redcar appear to be in a tug of war over Kus. Peterborough appear to waiting on Premier League fixtures and the Polish fixtures. Rye House after a middle order rider.

Ruml on a 5 point average might not be a bad call. I remember him riding in the WTC and he did not disgrace himself.

The Polish play off's are around the same times that the Premier League play off's, what going to do if Bjerre is call into his Polish team at the same time as your play off match. You could be going into a play off match with a National League guest rider riding at number 1 for you. -

And if his Polish team reaches the Play Off's what are going to do then? -

I think that they have to take out either a British license or an ACU license to ride in the Premier League, neither are valid to ride in Poland. A few years ago Tomasz Piszcz was banned from riding for Birmingham for failing to take an ACU license and refused to give up his Polish license. That is why you don't or rarely see Polish riders riding in the Premier League other than those who are finding it hard to get club in their home country. -

And Kosciuch would have to do the same and would not be allowed to ride Poland if he did. No he did not. -

As far as I am aware he can ride in the Premier League, but to do so he would need to change his riding license but to change the license would mean that he would not be able to riding Poland. To say Poles cannot ride in the Premier League is untrue otherwise how did Konopka get ride in the Premier League for the last two seasons. I would be surprised if Kosciuch would be prepared to forgo racing in his home country for a season in the Premier League.
