You Shouldn't Call People Retards. It's Offensive
spin king replied to SCB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why do people bother arguing with Starman. Your never ever going to get any sensible debate out of him. The easiest thing to do is don't react to him and he will go away. -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
spin king replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You forgot Josh Auty upping his average up to 10. Wilkinson pushing his average up to 6.5 And Taylor and Alex upping their averages slightly above the 7 point. -
Peterborough Panthers 2016
spin king replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
correct. -
Do think that there is a rule saying Jack could not do both jobs. But maybe Ash Birks could be asked to take on the role if Jack is not available.

Now only 4 places remaining in the league. Edinburgh are looking for a 3 point rider, after showing an un- named the door due to excessive financial demands. Newcastle are on the hunt for a third rider of no more than 7.22, if the rumours are is Mr Kus maybe they are squabbling over the transfer fee. Peterborough are looking for rider of no more than 8.45, keep seeing the name Bjerre been heavily banded around but with them running on Sundays will Bjerre give up the lucrative contract of Poland for Peterborough. If not Bjerre then I think it will be a Dane and I am hearing that Simon Lambert is changing his name to Simon Lambertsen. Redcar are looking for a rider of no more than 8.40, answers on a postcard as to who Redcar are going to sign.

I feel an escape committee coming on.

Total agree with those sentiments it was blindly obvious that is what he meant.

I don't think a ban was necessary, a simple changing the title of the thread would and should have sufficed.

Any Takers For The Elite League?
spin king replied to Hamish McRaker's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
For me it would not matter what league my team rode in, Elite, Premier or National, I would still attend meetings and support the team basically because I love the sport and love my team. And I don't think the racing in as better in any of the leagues, you will get your fair share of good and bad meetings any of the leagues. But of them all my preferred choice is the Premier, there is a wider choice of opposition, and more competition to go at. League KO Cup League Cup Play Off's Fours Pairs League Riders Championship Premier League all the way for me. -
Silence is golden.

Any Takers For The Elite League?
spin king replied to Hamish McRaker's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think that for clubs to move up into the Elite League from the Premier League they need to look at the last three clubs who have made the move. Birmingham is went bust and moved down to the National League. Leicester have been far from a raging success and appear to be have problems building a team for this season with the insistence that they run on a Saturday night. Kings Lynn are the only one of the three who have had any degree of success and managed to make a decent success in the league. Add to the fact that Ipswich have moved down, and Peterborough move down to the Premier League, and Eastbourne move down two leagues to the National League. I think that it would take a very brave Promoter to even consider moving up into the Elite League. -
Of course you are entitled to your views. To be honest reading your previous thoughts I got the feeling the Play Off's were biggest reason for you staying away.
-
Never said did not ever, I can only speak for the meetings that I have seen.
-
Surprised to see that you stay away because of the double points rule, would have felt reading your previous thoughts on the sport that the Play Offs would have caused you more to miss going to speedway. Last season the double points rule was watered down allow ing teams to use on the one occasion during a meeting, and hand on heart when it was used watching meetings at Sheffield or on the TV I cannot remember ever been a game changer.
-
Hard to believe really. Other than any 3 point reserve places I think that we have seen the last of any available places going to any British rider.
-
Just realise that apologies for the misunderstanding.

Predict The Final 2016 Pl Table!?
spin king replied to uwjxovlxokzm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sure I read somewhere that Peterborough don't plan to announce their final signing till February which would suggest to me that they don't really know who the last rider will be. -
Started that is the key word, if Lawson was to make a comeback he would not be starting his speedway career he would be reviving it. The 3 point reserve idea was not devised for the likes of Lawson to revive their careers.

Predict The Final 2016 Pl Table!?
spin king replied to uwjxovlxokzm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Glasgow Workington Edinburgh Plymouth Sheffield Newcastle Ipswich Peterborough Somerset Berwick Scunthorpe Rye House Redcar -
Nice to see Ty Proctor getting a team place after his problems last season. Workington do look a very capable team, but they seem to do this every year for only to them under achieve. Maybe the luck is about to change.

Retard or describing someone who Retarded is totally and utterly outdated and speaking as a Father of a son who does have a mental condition from birth I would punch anyone on the nose if they described him as retard and you would have his brothers closely following behind me. In the case of SCB's comments he is clearly trying to grab people's attention and has used the terminology for that, its blindly obvious that Jon Cook does not have some mental condition, and SCB is basically insulting Jon Cook for the insulting remarks made by Jon Cook. Putting it all into perspective, I see nothing wrong with SCB making the comments to Jon Cook, after all Cook started the argument.

What are these awards judged upon? Seems reading fans comments about visiting other tracks that Scunthorpe is generally the track that produces by far the best racing in the Premier league but does not make the top 3. And just a thought the track voted the best in the Premier League was home to the only team to not drop a point all season in the Premier League at home yet failed to make the Play Off's. Seems very strange to me.

Should Roscoe Step Down As Gb Team Manager ?
spin king replied to KIRKYLANE's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Agree with most about the two jobs completely different and the team he chooses for Swindon should not have any bearing on whether or not he should be allowed to continue being the National Team Manager. For me the jury is out on whether or not he is the right man for the job, he has made real mistakes while been the Team Manager. -
Edinburgh to sweep the board and win everything next season.
