  2. George , I am genuinely speechless and what a lovely offer that Im sure will make the day even more special , just told my daughter and she is made up , will get there in plenty of time and ask for yourself and what an impression Workington Speedway is making already - Thanks so much really looking forward to it even more - lovely gesture - Chris
  3. Yeah know it will be tight - if its 0-0 at Deepdale or Preston are 3-0 up * cough * Ill get a dart at 4.30pm , if not might even sacrifice my ticket as see North End most weeks but this my first trip to Derwent Park so looking forward to it - Cheers Chris
  4. Many thanks indeed for your replies , really appreciated , Workington subject to weather it is then , pity my local football team Preston where not playing Carlisle Away instead of home , that would have worked even better , instead footie at 3pm and straight off to Workington sounds a great day , again many thanks , Chris
  5. Just looking for some advice , was taking my daughter to her first ever Speedway match tonight but the weather has beaten us with Belle Vue v Swindon off - she really wants to understand why I love this sport so having looked at the fixtures and got a rare week off work Sat night throws up two fixtures of clubs within 1/1 half of Preston - Workington v Edinburgh or Stoke v Buxton , never been to either track - Workington seem like a really friendly club , was wondering on people's thoughts on views , food in case the 12 yr old gets bored in 2mins , closer meeting out of the two - Im thinking Workington and any other advice - will go to one and I suppose the weather again may play a part Apologies if in the wrong section and any advice would be superb Cheers Chris * Sorry posted twice *
  6. I always go top tier .... Block U13 and the tickets arrived yesterday , looking forward to it already ... Chris
  7. Must just be me , I've only subscribed for the last couple of years but enjoy the read and thought the series on British Champions was superb , keep up the good work
  8. Great night in Torun , wonderful atmosphere and in Heat 5 Woffie silenced 15,000 Polish fans , sang my heart out with the other Brits and Tai is a true champ meeting fans before the event , the way he conducted himself and thanks to the great people at the Travel Club who have been superb , shed a tear when the anthem was played , off to the Chain Emblem Cup to give Nicki Pedersen done grief !!!! What a weekend
  9. Sat in the Hotel Filmar in Torun , can feel the anticipation , Woffie in the hotel ..... Come on Tai , just off to get me Union Jack
  10. Just arrived at Leeds Bradford airport weather typical Yorkshire friggin pouring down , hopefully better in Poland
  11. Great news Phil ....roll on Torun , aint going to sleep tonight , Poker and Redbull ..Ill be asleep on the flight tommorrow Chris
  12. Its fair to say Im counting the hrs down to my first forrow abroad for a GP and what a one to book it was when I plumped for it at the start of the GP season ....bring it on , Chris ( flying fromLeeds/Bradford with Travel Plus Tours with my dad ) so anybody on here say Hi if youre on the trip etc would be nice to put faces to names even though Im quite new to the forum so to speak Chris
  13. Ive aged tonight but feel sheer pride in the Sport and Tai Woffiden , cannot wait for Torun , the lad like the vast majority of Speedway riders are tough lads ...my first GP abroad could be a classic Chris
  14. When are the line ups announced , apologies if in another thread cannot see it , Thanks Chris
  15. On a purely selfish note going to my first GP abroad being Torun , 21 point lead for Woffie after the Swedish GP will do nicely and hopefully we can crown him World Champion in Poland ( he's been class this year ) and not IMO do the injuries to other riders detract from his achievement should he make it
  16. Still haven't warmed up from Freddie's Testimonal !! , lot of time for PK seems a top bloke on and off the track
  17. Well done Woffie , Fat lady is clearing her throat ...
  18. Gutted for Emil , seems like a top bloke and hope he's back to his best soon enough
  19. My first ever GP abroad , booked ages ago and frankly cannot wait , got invoice yesterday and even got the option of having a meeting at the hotel with some bloke called Phil ! ( seemed like a bargain so box ticked ) , with the chance of Woffie going for the title in Torun it could be some trip
