  7. Ok , back safely to Preston ( went with a friend whose only other Speedway ' live ' meet was the British Final at Cov earlier in the yr ) and he enjoyed every minute and frankly so did I ( maybe Im easily pleased ) We had a lovely stop in a B&B just on the outskirts of Newport and bumped into a couple of Belle Vue fans like me ( drowned ours sorrows over breakfast ) , had a great curry on the Saturday , bought a nice couple of books off an author in the Speedway Fayre and off Nick Barber whomn I deal with a bit on Ebay ( some nice badges acquired ) , loved the atmosphere , had a lovely family infront of us , dad with 4 young lads reminded me of my youth and watching Speedway ( not quite in the same luxurious surroundings !! ) , thought the best man won , some decent races including one great Semi , drove home and when the date is confirmed tomm I wil ring up the B&B and book in for 2013 !!!! Glass Half Full/Half Empty - all entitled to our opinion - I loved every minute Chris
  8. I coudnt give a dam who/what the pre entertainment is Today Im watching of bygone times when the Aces where half decent .... Eary start tommorrow , safe journey to everyone - setting off 6am ish from Preston Braaaap Braaap
  9. I cannot wait , staying in a B&B in Newport for £45 per night ( average 2 rooms booked for me and a mate ) , travelling down from Preston at 7am on the Sat , hoping to hit Cardiff for around 1pm Yep its expensive but I woudnt miss it Bring it on Go on Bomber
  10. Just cannot wait - Bring it on , in work at 11am on the Sunday but will be watching from 4am
  11. Maybe Im just naive , but I love the GP at Cardiff and woudnt wish it to be anywhere else at the moment Chris
  12. I think Hampel will win it this year , Gollob , Crump , Herbie and Johnsson to push him
  13. First point so be gentle I think the GP's this yr have been pretty dam good on the whole - Im the half full glass brigade which is hard having been a follower of Preston North End for 40 yrs ( but thats another story ) , loved this sport for yrs and like a few Im sure I lost my love as I got married , young family etc etc but with the introduction of Sky etc I have started going back to GP's , Belle Vue meets and think this is a truly breath taking minority sport in the UK that although at times appears from my view to be run with mob rule in some respects provides a real sense of excitement for me , its the best sport in the UK in my opinion for value for money , committment , dam good banter when I attend .... Anyway Im going off on a tangent , thought last nights GP's was excellant and delighted that Hancock ( superb ambassador for the sport IMO ) appears to have one hand on the title , he may not be the most exciting speedeay rider on the planet and every heat with a Ward, Syfudinov , Pedersen , Gollob etc would provide thrills per minute this sport is enjoyable due to different styles of riders something which I hope continues for a long time to come Chris
