  1. I think Harris has changed tuner and gone with Brian Andersen, he seems a lot quicker this year.
  2. I fancy the Bees to get something from this one.
  3. Think they are a month behind on that statement.
  4. Does anyone know if the track caught any of the downpour?
  5. Well i really hope the Bees can pull this one out of the bag as it's going to be a tough one maybe a last head decider i think.
  6. Not sure but i saw him at Leicester and he can gate that's for sure, he would have got another 3 points at Leicester but Garrity stuffed him up.
  7. BUILDBASE BEES v POOLE, PREVIEW Thursday April 09, 2015 COVENTRY face their biggest match of the season so far at Brandon on Friday with the visit of Elite League title favourites and perennial rivals Poole (7.30pm). Recent history provides a long list of epic clashes between the two clubs, who have won nine of the last twelve league championships between them. And they both find themselves at the top of the early Elite League table, with the Buildbase Bees’ wins at home to Wolverhampton and away at Leicester then matched by the Pirates enjoying success both at Swindon and at home to Lakeside. That sets up a terrific battle at Brandon, with the return fixture scheduled for Wimborne Road next Wednesday – and with the excellent spring weather forecast to continue, everything is set up for a thrilling clash. Bees go into the meeting with Stuart Robson still on the sidelines after his crash at Redcar a fortnight ago, and the popular 38-year-old may need another scan as he is still in pain from a lower left leg injury. Boss Gary Havelock has once again booked Ipswich’s Cameron Heeps to guest for Robson, with the young Australian having impressed at Leicester last weekend. Poole boast the 2012 World Champion Chris Holder and Grand Prix newcomer Maciej Janowski at the top of their order, not to mention World Under-21 silver medallist Kacper Gomolski who they recruited late in the winter on a bargain average – as well as one of the outstanding draft reserves in Kyle Newman. And with second-string Josh Grajczonek (a replacement himself for the injured Davey Watt) absent due to a commitment for Somerset, the Pirates have called in King’s Lynn heat-leader Rory Schlein to guest against his former club. Coventry promoter Mick Horton said: “Poole is always the big one, I think it’s the biggest rivalry in speedway between Coventry and Poole. “We’re at home, we’re in our own backyard, and our boys will certainly be up for it and desperate to get a win. “We’ve savoured last weekend, when everyone was so proud of what we did at Leicester, and now we want to push on from that. It should be a great night of racing.” Friday’s match will be followed by another second half event featuring the Coventry Storm riders, who battled to an excellent league point at Cradley on Wednesday. And supporters will also be able to pay tribute to club legend Nigel Boocock, who passed away last week. A book of remembrance has been set up and will be available to sign in the Track Shop. BUILDBASE BEES (from): Hans Andersen, Jason Garrity, Chris Harris, Cameron Heeps, Danny King, Joonas Kylmakorpi, James Sarjeant. POOLE (from): Kacper Gomolski, Chris Holder, Maciej Janowski, Kyle Newman, Stefan Nielsen, Dakota North, Rory Schlein
  8. Think Rory will only get around 7 points so not to worried.
  9. I agree we should win this one especially if Holder is a bit ginger and watt has his normal Brandon meeting.
  10. This was my first visit to leicester speedway, and i thought the set up track included was very good. There was a good crowd more than the Bees last home meeting and a fair ammount of passing and hard close racing. The Bees were solid and never looked like losing, Hans and jonas were top draw. Well done boys and Well done Mick on the signing of Korpi.
  11. Yes maybe the decision could of waited for another three hours at least.
  12. Well the result will see if the decision was correct or not.
  13. Yes and our guest did so well in his four rides.
  14. To me it seems as though it's a negative decision and we are not going there with the intention of winning.
  15. Thursday March 26, 2015 COVENTRY will be looking to make the perfect start to their Elite League campaign – with victory over fierce local rivals Wolverhampton at Brandon on Friday (7.30pm). The Buildbase Bees launch their chase for the play-offs with home and away clashes against the Monmore side, as the return fixture takes place on Monday. After a convincing home performance last Friday against Leicester, and with new signing Joonas Kylmakorpi adding significant strength to the middle-order, Bees are optimistic of laying down a marker for the season, with a busy early schedule featuring nine Elite League matches before the end of April. A win by any margin on Friday will be worth three Elite League points after a modification to the scoring system, and Bees feel they have power throughout the team to do just that. Kylmakorpi last rode for the club in 2005, when he helped them to the Elite League title, with skipper Chris Harris also a member of that team. Manager Gary Havelock said: “I know Joonas quite well, I rode with him for half a season in Sweden and he’s very much a seasoned pro and a great all-round motorcyclist. “When you look at his average of 6.33, I believe most of that was achieved last season from a heat-leader spot, and we all know with the new race format, the rides there are way harder than at No.2 or No.4. “I feel he’ll definitely get his average, at least, at most places home or away, so going forward there’s no doubt the move is going to make us a lot stronger, and hopefully we can hit the ground running on Friday. “Speaking as an ex-rider, I do have a lot of sympathy for Jakub (Jamrog), it would have been nice for him to have had more time to see if he could come good, but as Mick (Horton) has said, this is about business and winning meetings.” Wolverhampton are led by top Swedish star Freddie Lindgren, and the evergreen Peter Karlsson lines up as one of their second-strings. They also include Polish newcomer Tobiasz Musielak, whilst former Coventry Storm rider Stefan Nielsen guests for the unavailable Lewis Blackbird, who has a fixture clash with Peterborough in the Premier League Cup. Friday’s match is the start of a busy weekend at Brandon, as on Sunday afternoon Harris stages his Testimonial meeting with a packed schedule of track action in prospect.
