  1. Yes but he is all from the gate Or said promoter is the one actually taking said rider
  2. That's just like saying if Garrity had not had bike problems them the Bees would of won.
  3. A decent result in the end, would of been out of sight if Garrity had scored his normal points, but no blame there as he has won us numerous meetings, well done to Hans on a much improved performance just a shame about his last ride.
  4. Coventry Bees keep faith with Hans Anderson for Belle Vue showdown Coventry Bees visit one of their favourite away venues tonight – and any points gained at Belle Vue will put them back on top of the Elite League table. The Buildbase Bees have won emphatically on each of their last three trips to Manchester, and have several riders with proven records of success there. But Belle Vue have improved substantially since the Bees did the double over the Aces in mid-April, and a win at Swindon last week put them into a position whereby they are strong favourites for a play-off place. However, they then suffered a disappointing defeat at Leicester on Saturday where enigmatic No.1 Matej Zagar scored just one point. Zagar’s problems are of no concern to Coventry, but their own top man Hans Andersen remains short of both points and speed – and this away match may come at a good time for the Dane, who usually flies around Kirkmanshulme Lane and has the backing of club bosses. Promoter Mick Horton said: “We got together for lunch on Friday and talked it through, and Hans seems to be lacking mainly with his set-ups at the moment. He’s trying engines and I think he’s getting confused by it all – and of course, when he’s not getting the right set-up and not getting the points he knows he should be getting, it’s getting to his head. “It will come right for him. He will get a meeting, and it might be at Belle Vue, where he’ll find something and then we move on. “We have a great record up there, but this is going to be a totally different meeting because of their form at the moment. I certainly hope we can do well there but it will be a tough one, as it will be when they come back here on Friday. It’s two cracking meetings in store.” Bees remain without reserve James Sarjeant, who spent a brief period back in hospital at the end of the week after his crash at Poole on Wednesday. Sarjeant underwent further X-rays having been taken ill on Thursday night but again they came back with no broken bones, and a period of rest appears the only course of action. Poole’s Paul Starke stands in tonight - Bees at least have a clear choice of all available Tier 2 reserves as Sarjeant is at the top of the list - and there will be further assessment this week before they finalise plans for Friday’s home match against the Aces.
  5. Is it me or is there a distinct lack of enthusiasm for this meeting.
  6. COVENTRY make a welcome return to home track action with a big local derby against Leicester in the Elite League at Brandon on Friday (7.30pm). It’s the Lions’ first league visit of the season after the scheduled fixture on Good Friday was rained-off, and it will be the Buildbase Bees’ first outing on their home circuit for nearly three weeks. During that time, Coventry have lost the Elite League leadership to Poole but will move back level on points with the Pirates with a win on Friday. Bees reserve James Sarjeant misses the meeting after his crash at Wimborne Road on Wednesday, although hospital checks thankfully revealed no broken bones. Sarjeant will be replaced by Wolverhampton’s Josh Bates - a team-mate of Jason Garrity in the Premier League with Sheffield - and a decision will be taken on Sarjeant’s fitness over the weekend ahead of Monday’s trip to Belle Vue. Leicester have called up a number of guest replacements after a season which has been blighted by injuries and rider departures so far. The Lions are led by Grand Prix star Jason Doyle, whilst experienced Polish rider Grzegorz Walasek is just back from injury and gave a blistering performance at Brandon in the East Midlands Bowl back in March. Walasek is joined by fellow countrymen Szymon Wozniak and Grzegorz Zengota, the latter making a guest appearance against his old club as the Lions continue to work to plug the gap left by Lewis Bridger’s rapid departure. With both of Leicester’s regular reserves currently on the sidelines, the experienced Richard Hall is partnered by Coventry asset Oliver Greenwood, who rode for the Storm in 2013-14. Bees skipper Chris Harris said: “Leicester have been struggling a bit, and we need to capitalise on that and get back to winning ways. “Especially with us being at home on Friday, we need to make sure we start winning again.” The meeting also includes Midland Development League action between the Coventry Vikings and Buxton, with the line-up featuring former Bees rider Andy Smith’s 16-year-old son Jack. BUILDBASE BEES (from): Hans Andersen, Josh Bates, Jason Garrity, Chris Harris, Danny King, Joonas Kylmakorpi, Stuart Robson. LEICESTER (from): Jason Doyle, Oliver Greenwood, Richard Hall, Ulrich Ostergaard, Grzegorz Walasek, Szymon Wozniak, Grzegorz Zengota I must say that I feel really disappointed in Hans so far, he has only had five double figured scores in 15 meetings, not great from our so called no1
  7. well one things for sure, we won't win the league without a change.
  8. Yes Steve you are correct but I expect a lot more from our number 1 especially.
  9. Let's be honest Robbo and Hans have been crap all season.
  10. I think Coventry had plenty to moan about, but that was no fault of Poole speedway as we were beaten by the better team on the day.
  11. Maybe he was but he messes up when it matters and for sure he will do the same come the play offs
  12. I love Garrity as well and would not swap him for any other reserve, but I fear he may cost us when it counts in the big meetings.
  13. I think he saw Newman coming round the outside and the red mist descended the rest was history.
