  1. @the_cookstar: 4 riders injured in 1 meeting and the home Captain says the tracks fine and even slick 😳 great job of looking out for everyone's safety ✊💦💦💦
  2. Only 3 weeks now till the cut off date. It is still extremely close between 3rd - 5th As it stands (17/08/15) 3rd King's Lynn (5 meetings left) Current points: 45 Still available: 17 (H) Coventry, Swindon, Leicester (A) Swindon, Poole They still have 100% home record. They now have no Kerr and could be very hard finding guests for him, esp if Belle Vue won't let them use Worrall. I think they could sneak fourth. 4th Belle Vue (only 3 meetings left) Current points: 43. Still available 10 (H) Leicester, Wolves (A) Wolves Belle Vue have a great home record having only lost to Coventry all season. They are capable of winning their away fixture and all their home ones, however with so few meetings left and a lot less points available, every meeting is a must win now. 5th Swindon. (7 meetings left) Current points: 41 Still available. 25 (H) King's Lynn, Leicester, Coventry (A) Poole, Coventry, king's Lynn, Coventry Personally I think Swindon look the most likely to make the play offs and finish 3rd. With the points still available they would have to really mess up not to make it. They have a good chance of not only winning their home ones but also picking up away points. They also have double the fixtures left of Belle Vue. The only problem with having more fixtures will be if the weather intervenes.
  3. Good luck King's Lynn. Having been in a play off position all season, it would be sad if they were to miss out again due to injuries
  4. Yes Swindon are at full strength. Rose should be back as well.
  5. Bees will be without King & Robson. Very close to the cut off date as if rained off again then there will be no restage date.
  6. Danny King injured his back riding in Denmark on Wednesday. He had treatment yesterday and was due to miss Swindon meeting. He was a doubt for Coventry's meeting even before the rain.
  7. He scored well on both trips to Belle Vue, Leicester, Last visit to Lakeside (except last heat) and he was riding well at Swindon until he broke his finger. Was great on our last visit to Wolves, so he has had some good meetings this year. However I do agree he has spent a lot more time off form. His midland bowl meeting at Brandon at the start of the season was great and he had some great passing as well but not sure what happened to his home form after that.
  8. Would back up what has been said at Peterborough as well. Whilst the lad could have a big future in speedway, he isn't the best at this moment. His attitude isn't going to help him and he doesn't want to burn bridges with Promoters & clubs along the way. TBF on both of king's Lynn's recent visits to Brandon he was average and not a match winner for them, he was easily beaten by our reserves. Kerr & NKI were their stand out riders but I bet they didn't demand more. Woffy & Holder are already world class when on form and have been world champions and although Tai isn't here this year, both still have respect for their British clubs and don't think they are the team when they ride for them. No one rider is bigger than the club I hope somebody can have a word in his ear and put Lambert on the right track (and not his mother) I imagine Swindon fans wouldn't say no to having both 😉
  9. Bees would have riders missing then. Monday 24th would be better Imagine Coventry's main priority now will be finding a date for the home one first. That's the one we need most.
  10. Oh dear, that's not good to hear. Peterborough are having a lot of problems with him as well
  11. Hopefully we will hear a restage date for both meetings asap. Weather looks good for all next week at the moment.
  12. @kylmakorpi: So tonight's meeting at Coventry is also off... We have had heavy rain during night and it's raining now. I'm hoping we don't have the forecast sun from 2pm onwards now 😁 Only 3 weeks left till cut off date and now we have 2 meetings that need rearranging. Hope they get sorted fast. Monday's would be good to avoid fixture clashes
  13. We have had rain overnight and some light drizzle this morning. However the weather forecasts are very conflicting with met office (who got it very wrong yesterday) predicting rain all day whilst http://m.accuweather.com/en/gb/coventry/cv1-3/hourly-weather-forecast/326967 Forecasts sun & few showers from early afternoon. The weather forecasts were very conflicting yesterday for Swindon as Some had no rain after a few showers early on whilst the met office made people think they could need Noah's ark lol. As it turned out the Promoters called it off early based on forecasts and the heavy rain never came so the meeting could have been on. With this being a local derby & weather forecasts so different, I hope they give it a chance and go by the weather by early afternoon rather than forecast.
  14. Talking of Wednesday, I noticed Hans & Iversen's Danish teams both have meetings the same night. Does anybody know if this means they will be likely to be missing? Not sure if it's rearranged.
  15. Good win for King's Lynn and good to hear they got the meeting done quickly with the threat of rain. Back up to 3rd and still 100% home record.
  16. To continue from your point above, Harris also guested and helped Poole get points when they are the team that could finish above his own. It's crazy.
  17. King's Lynn back up to 3rd. Swindon now drop to 5th. The table is so close between the three teams. It's going to be a tight finish to the season
  18. Walasek could be a good guest for Hans against Swindon if available. Having great night at king's Lynn tonight and rides Brandon well.
  19. I agree. People were moaning not long ago about Zengi guesting for Belle Vue and Cook for Swindon and they had a point.
  20. Will have to shout for bees instead as we have let Swindon use Hans & Harris 9 times between them!
  21. @GavinCaney: Lyon: "One thing I do want to highlight is the unwillingness of Belle Vue to let us use their riders as guests." (2/2) #speedway Seems Belle Vue are not allowing their riders to guest for King's Lynn or Swindon. I guess it does make sense not to help your place off rivals. The only risk they run is if they need guests themselves.
  22. Hans Andersen is now riding at Brandon tomorrow night.
