I know we are all hurting and everything feels negative at the moment but the worst thing we can do is give up. We know we won't be racing this year which is a huge blow but we need to do all we can to try and make sure this isn't the end for good. The Coventry Observer are the first to openly take action. They have started a campaign to save Coventry Speedway. https://coventryobserver.co.uk/?p=45969 Twitter quote: First Save Our Bees story going up tonight at 7.30pm. An interesting read. The campaign to get the Bees back on track has started! #SOB

😥😥😥😥😥😥 That looks like it's us finished for good. Can't see there being a 2018 Sandhu backing out of the financial agreement was the final nail

Thanks 👍🏻

What is the predicted team for Coventry/Belle Vue?
-
Wasn't Branford in the easier reserve races last year whilst Sarjeant & Klindt were in the top 5? Branford will try hard but I don't think he will be anywhere near the top 3 reserves in the league. He wasn't when he rode for Swindon. Branford - maybe in the top three of reserves and with such a solid top 5 is unlikely to reach the main team all season unlike Allen, Bates or Klient/Newman Really? I personally would say that Klindt/Newman, Bates/Kerr, Huckenbeck, Sarjeant and possibly Ayres & Clegg are all better in the top league. The 5 listed first are all capable of performing in the top 5 in both EL & PL. Branford is a long way off being in the EL top 5 and still rides at reserve In the PL rather than the main body. I can't see reserves like Branford, Shanes, Zach coming out against riders like Doyle, King, Masters or even second strings like Gomolski or Starke and beating them.

Why wouldn't he be? He's had the whole winter.

Will Coventry Complete The Season?
mdmc82 replied to Agrotron's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Trust a pirate fan to start such a negative thread! -
Any idea when there will be any news on signings?
-
With no protected heats, he will need to be a match for the top 5 as well
-
I think they look a possible play off side but haven't got a strong reserve pairing when they will meet the top 5 of other teams. Although yes the top 5 are all capable of scoring but they are all also very inconsistent which explains the averages they are now on

Poole King's Lynn Wolves Rye House Coventry Somerset Swindon Leicester. Will add Belle Vue once their team is announced
-
The BSPA have now put all the riders in position order on their declaration on the site. They have Lebedevs as being a heatleader not a reserve. Where has his starting average been confirmed?
-
Now that all of the teams (with the exception of Belle are completed. What would your predicted table be for 2017. Belle Vue can be added to your table once their team is announced. Here is a reminder of how each team lines up. Remember there are no protected heats for reserves anymore so they will face all riders. COVENTRY 1-3 King, K Bjerre, Garrity 4-5 L Bjerre, L Kerr Res. Bates, Sarjeant KINGS LYNN 1-3 Holder, Lambert, Batchelor 4-5. Porsing, Rose Res. Huckenbeck, Bailey LEICESTER 1-3. Nilsson, Wolbert, Lebedevs 4-5. Gomolski, Auty Res. Great offer by the Coventry promotion. £12.50 a meeting is a bargain. Hopefully this will encourage those who are able to get there to take the offer up. Hopefully we still get to return to Brandon at some point 🙏🏼
-
It's Leicester's own track so I heard they had a choice of which night they wanted and decided to go with Saturday's
-
Kaspazak is by far the best rider in my opinion
-
Fisher thanked the fans on Twitter & Facebook at the time for the Brandon collection so he definitely received that
-
They were but that was before the falling out

A message from Wozniak to Lions fans. Also confirms why he hasn't returned. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C4NCExZWEAEdKro.jpg:large

A team isnt meant to be built round one reserve though. They have a very weak top to the team and each of those riders have to take at least 3 rides each. Some of the riders also don't have much experience on these tracks Does this mean that Lebedevs won't be entering the SEC meetings this year then as they are usually on Friday and Saturdays and no guest facility is given?

Any news on King's Lynn's final signing?
-
Not sure I would use Wolbert on 8.00

mdmc82 replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
.@SpeedwayLions complete their 2017 line-up with the signings of Andzejs Lebedevs, Kevin Wolbert, Erik Riss and Danny Ayres. #speedway Does anybody know Lebedevs average? -

Kerr is a kings lynn asset so in the past Coventry would have got priority. However that has changed this year. Because he isn't riding for his parent club, it is then the club he rode for before that has priority. Coventry usually would have priority over King but the BSPA granted Ipswich priority as Coventry hadn't been able to commit to racing at the time. Please can somebody provide a link to where it has been confirmed that King is a king's Lynn's asset as I have never seen it anywhere apart from this site where the same people also said King had signed for them
