The problem is instead of signing a rider who is not on the list but capable of being a heatleader, we have signed another reserve. That means that not only are we one of the weakest at reserve but also very weak in the top 5 Why do king and Buzz both have the same average but yet king is on the heatleader list and yet Buzz who rode all season as a heatleader for Leicester isn't?

Esp when he rode the whole season as a heat leader.

I thought rather than be concerned now, I would wait and see how Woryna got on when the season started. However then I watched some video's of him riding in Poland and now I am worried. From what I have seen I think he may struggle even more than Jamrog or Kcrmar. I guess we will see once other teams are announced as to if there really were no other riders available but we do look to have a very long tail which will put huge pressure on our top 3. It's ok people thinking if Woryna struggles he can then be quickly replaced but where is the rider to replace him going to come from. Doubt it will be as easy as that.

That was only because when they signed him he was a Coventry asset and then changed to a Rye House asset after.

Not sure they are 3 riders I would pick from the heatleader list. Bech had some really off form meetings last year. Joonas was brilliant at Brandon but he wasn't one of our best riders away from home. As for Freddie, what can you say. They are going to need a big signing to back them up.

I will wait until I see him ride and also see the make up of the other teams but bit worried based on the comments from people who have watched him. With one of the weakest reserve pairings in the league so far, I think we needed somebody who could step up as a heat leader. This does feel like 4 reserves. Poole are said to have also been interested. Monday November 23, 2015 COVENTRY have completed their 2016 line-up with the signing of rising Polish talent Kacper Woryna. The 19-year-old was a team-mate of Buildbase Bees skipper Chris Harris at Rybnik last season, and will now compete in British Speedway for the first time. Woryna has a strong family history in the sport as his grandfather Antoni finished third in the World Final in both 1966 and 1970, and also spent a two-year spell with Poole in the mid-seventies. Kacper himself has a good pedigree from his rise up the junior ranks in Poland, having become 80cc national Champion back in 2011 prior to signing for Rybnik. He made his debut for the club in 2013 and his achievements last season included victory in the individual Silver Helmet Final at Pila in late-August. Woryna has received warm praise from both Harris and fellow signing Krzysztof Kasprzak as Bees have considered their options for the final team place, which had to be a rider who would not also be racing in the Premier League, and who is not on the Elite Leagues heat-leader list. Promoter Mick Horton said: We always knew the last spot couldnt be a doubling-up rider, and it had to be someone who will be classed as a second-string. Chris had recommended Kacper at the time when we were doing his contract, although at the time he didnt know whether Kacper would be going to Poole as they were also interested. But Chris contacted him for us, and he was really keen to come over. Then when I did the deal with KK and he was asking me about the team, I asked him what he thought about Kacper and his words were very good boy! and then he sent me a message with a thumbs-up. I wondered whether he would get around the small tracks but Bomber thinks that wont be a problem - the Polish youngsters now do so much training on small tracks and also their English is superb. Kacper speaks perfect English. Having weighed it all up, and looking at who else we could bring in, I decided we would go for it. Rybnik are taking him up to the top league so hes got something about him, and its exciting for the club to bring in a new youngster. Weve worked hard to get our deals done and I think weve done well. Im very confident we have a team that can challenge strongly for the play-offs. Wondered how long it would be before you started barking 😜 Newman was only ever going to be at reserve before the draft was put in place as he has been now for several years.

Garrity has ambition and wants to prove himself in the main body of the team. I think Newman would lose his place at Poole if he didn't agree to be on the draft. They don't like Brits in their top 5

I really like the play offs. I would also like to see the KOC return as teams that are at the bottom of the league and out of the play off fight early on still have something to challenge for.

Does anybody know much about Kacper Woryna? He's one rider I have seen linked with us.

Is this fact or rumour that many have turned them down? I think riding on a Saturday doesn't really help.

Both Bech and Lindgren struggled at times last year and dropped their averages so could be a risk as heatleaders.

Maybe you should ask your own management or promotion those questions

I still think Fricke will be at Belle Vue but if not then Coventry would be likely to be another team he would ride for.

Coventry can still sign a rider up to 7.27 as long as they are not on the heatleader list. They don't have to sign somebody lower than King.

Has Scott Nicholls been confirmed yet? I thought he was on a 2 year contract so would have thought he would have been the first announced.
