  1. @Lakesidehammers ready to give @lewisbridger27 his chance to grab a 2016 team spot in today's @DSSsport Now I'm more confused as it had been suggested that they already had 8 riders as D/U riders were sharing a spot but now they are looking to add a 9th rider without doubling up. No wonder Leicester have no riders
  2. With the speedway season due to start in 6 weeks time, has anybody heard anymore on the riders who might complete this lions team? Only name I have heard mentioned a lot is Compton. Nothing about who the number 1 wi be.
  3. Only set to miss 3 meetings early on. (Swindon away and king's Lynn home & away) No clashes after that. Anybody heard anything as to what Kacper's average will be?
  4. Lakeside have announced a 8 man team and more could be to follow. The full 2016 Vortex Hammers squad will be announced by the Club shortly with Cook explaining: Were keen to run more of a squad this season to take advantage of the changes made at the BSPA and best cover for the unavoidable clashes that are the nature of modern Speedway. Funny how now Kings Lynn mess up their team building, Buster & co want a squad system. Other teams managed to build ok. The fans are last to know anything as always. The sport really is a joke. Actually not feeling enthusiastic about the new season or season tickets this year as it's all a mess.
  5. No. It looks like because Kings Lynn and Leicester messed up with team building, Buster & co have now decided squads are the answer. Not very fair on those who did work hard to complete their teams
  6. It's all getting very confusing this season. BSPA making even more of a mess of things than before if possible. Quickly losing interest in the sport as it's beyond fixing. It's becoming a joke now. looks like squads as more riders to be announced. Bad idea The full 2016 Vortex Hammers squad will be announced by the Club shortly with Cook explaining: Were keen to run more of a squad this season to take advantage of the changes made at the BSPA and best cover for the unavoidable clashes that are the nature of modern Speedway.
  7. Would Larsen want to rider for a Sat track when he has Polish league the next day?
  8. Howarth was on the draft from the start and isn't a asset of any of the EL clubs. Barker wasn't on the draft and is a Coventry asset, therefore he could have been protected by his parent club if on the original draft. It's King Lynn's decision to change race night after the draft pick so they should pick a rider who was on the original draft. I guess being the chairman may once again be an unfair advantage to certain team if this happens.
  9. Hope your operation went well 👍🏻
  10. Not looking good for Leicester. Going to need two strong heatleaders to complete the team
  11. Those commenting on sky not wanting to days other than Monday must have forgot that last year we didn't have regular Monday speedway on sky. There were some Tuesday & Wednesday fixtures.
  12. Just going by what Rosco & Horton have said about Friday. Would be every fortnight when no GP It won't be Monday as riders don't want to rush from Poland to here on a Monday.
  13. Friday and Wednesday are the two days being looked at. As Tai says, Riders don't want to race in Poland and then rush here for Monday
  14. Whilst I don't think they are the weakest team in the league, I don't see Wolves making the play offs. Whilst JK is a very good rider, he is not a number one and does struggle away from home. Agree that Lindgren is better than his average. Another question would be how many meetings are Masters,Howarth & Clegg going to miss and also will Howarth & Bech improve on what wasn't a great year for them. A lot of doubt around this team. A huge point is will Adams get the best out of them.
  15. Rosco said Friday was one of the fixed race nights for 2017. The other night that is mentioned a lot is Wednesday
  16. The 2nd leg of the tournament has been arranged for the same date as Chris Harris testimonial. What happens for Riders Who were planning on riding in Bomber's.
  17. I personally think Belle Vue look just as good if not better
  18. That would only be the home fixtures. Can imagine him missing a good few Friday fixtures due to amount of PL teams that ride then
  19. Not forgetting Howarth who will also miss meetings if there are clashes due to being a PL asset.
  20. He also helps them with advice on set ups and racing.
  21. A good signing in Shuttleworth. I had hoped he would be back at Coventry but good luck to him next season
  22. Gutted for Gary. Hoping he is on the mend soon 🐝🐝
  23. That all depends on which Howarth you get. If the one from the play offs in 2014 then he should clean up. However if he carries on like he rode the end of the season gone then he will struggle to beat most reserves.
