  1. Taken from fimspeedway.com Should Lebedevs or Kubera finish in the 2025 Speedway GP World Championship top seven, fifth-placed Danish star Michael Jepsen Jensen will be promoted into the 2026 SGP line-up. If both Lebedevs and Kubera reach the top seven, sixth-placed Danish racer Anders Thomsen will also receive a place in the Speedway GP series for next year.
  2. Didn’t Phil Morris mention a new track was supposed to open in a live YouTube presentation at the end of 2023 I think? I believe it was supposed to be in Northamptonshire?
  3. It says the event has been coming to the stadium for the last 3 years. Shows how much the local press are in touch with speedway.
  4. One of speedways great characters. RIP Uncle Len
  5. From what I’ve seen I’m pretty sure Belle Vue pit staff wear hi viz vests with the Aces logo on & the clark of the course has a jacket with clerk of the course on the back?
  6. Nice to see Anders Rowe supporting The Pirates in his Rzeszow jacket!
  7. That would be £140 or so a week on speedway these days. I used to do Belle Vue Monday, Sheffield Thursday, Scunthorpe Friday, Stoke/Workington or if Belle Vue were racing Coventry on a Saturday & Buxton Sunday. I often went to Milton Keynes, Northampton or Oxford on training courses & have done Reading Monday, Peterborough Pumas Tuesday & either Kings Lynn/Poole/Arena Essex or Birmingham Wednesday. I’ve still never seen Speedway at Oxford.
  8. Your ‘feeling’ is correct & it’s Smith for Robert Lambert
  9. I believe whippet tickling & putting a ferret down your pants are both popular things to do on the dark side of the Pennines.
  10. It doesn’t apply to diesel vans with euro 6 engines which modern vans have had from about 2015 onwards. Plenty of sponsored new vans in speedway so I guess most riders won’t be affected.
  11. Rasmus isn’t coming to the UK, he’s riding in Denmark, Poland & Sweden next season.
  12. I think when Dan goes to a Sweden in 2022 he’ll go on a low average but if he didn’t go until 2023 he’ll go on his Polish average which would probably be higher? I’m sure someone will know if that’s the rule?
  13. How sad. A real character who put his heart & soul into Stoke Speedway. RIP Dave.
