A lot of fantastical wishful thinking being employed here to justify the operating model they have chosen. Most people remain very 'their team' orientated. That is why so many do not migrate to their next nearest track when 'theirs' closes. If you were a Swindon, Reading or Coventry fan and were amenable to watching teams that were not your own, then the option to go elsewhere was there. And those that did, and continue to do so, may find this good news. Saves travelling. But the so-called target audience are those that didn't want that at all, and were lost to the sport because 'their' team closed; they will remain lost as there is nothing new here that resurrects their dead team for them to be enticed back. Just a load of matches between teams that do not have their interest at all.

No. That is not what is planned. 30 matches in total (including playoff) and all tracks getting a couple homes at least. So most clubs will just have 2-4 away matches covered.

Well, this SHOULD be positive news. But the devil will be in the detail. Doing all the play off is good. But other matches may be much less enticing; if they have to get a couple from each track in no matter what. No information yet on how this will affect clubs with their own streaming platforms. I happily paid to what several Glasgow meetings last year and was looking to do many more from them this year.

Company/Association AGMs are neither traditional or untraditional. They are just AGMs. With specific functions to be carried out. Other General meetings are possible. They are NOT AGMs.

Well there seems an awful lot of Germans up in arms today because Smolinksi hasn't made it onto the reserves list either.

It goes way beyond round by round wildcards; which is what I was just discussing. No postings were or are ever to be needed here to ensure continued full time representation for GB in the series. The promoters know which side their bread is buttered. The reason why there will always be at least one GB rider as a permanent rider (even as a season long wildcard) is not just about Cardiff. It will matter for the TV contracts much more.

Yes... Three of those we have not seen a SGP for years as they were not financially viable WITH or without wildcards; so hardly a strong argument for imposing them on the dozens and dozens of meetings that don't need them at all. Despite all the flim flam of the press conference I don't see it really happening that we end up with viable GPs n all these other places Discovery say. And Gorican ... Oh yes let's have a dead spot in every GP All year just so we can resurrect Zagar for one evening. It's difficult to argue against local wildcards when you get a star like Kubera turning up. But he is the real exception. And in the end, for all his efforts, it got him nowhere in regards of a permanent place. Because he is Polish. Most of the time they don't add anything to the meeting, they definitely don't add anything to the championship. And they rarely add to the the crowd as Most GPs are held in countries who already have permanent representation. Just dead space in the year long programme.

Terry Russell has taken on the guise of a total simpleton over this whole affair. Why?

Year in year out NP/KT as well as those in the studio bang on endlessly towards the end of the season about the importance in finishing in the top 6, or 8 as was.. Utter bullsh!t when every year the top 10 are pretty much nailed on. No jeopardy. No reason to do the qualifiers.
