  1. Have we seem the last of Ronnie 'bloody' Sullivan ? Awful TV.
  2. I cannot see what going back over any of BSI investigations, when they had sole ownership of both the British GP AND of the whole series, does to clarify whether the Bellamys currently have exclusivity written into their contracts. That could make discussions about additional GPs in the UK completely pointless at the moment. The past was a very different place.
  3. I cannot believe that Paul Bellamy does not have some sort of exclusivity in his contract with Discovery for the GP at Cardiff. It would be financial suicide to not have that sort of protection for the duration of his contract with the Principality Stadium.
  4. Would he be able to fit it that vital last minute training session just before the restaging ?
  5. The much vaunted 'new professionalism' of the GB regime is really showing its value. Training exercises on the eve of a World Final .. great idea.
  6. Discovery arereally such a refreshing new broom … brushing the around the usual Eurosport crap.
  7. Two heart sink views immediately on Screen ... a virtually empty stand quickly followed by bloody Sam, again.
  8. Someone helpfully tried to cut off Ermokenkos mic and they couldnt even get that right !
  9. Poor old Kelvin ... Battling on regardless ... Despite dumber and dumber in the pits, dodgy graphics and a rogue Aussie pointlessly jabbering away.
  10. True, there may be new viewers ... But why do TV companies assume they are idiots ?
  11. All true. But the original post was just about the type of front cover being used. I too dislike them and would much prefer a return to the use of a single photo related to this week's events rather than photo-shopped image that is just becomingso 'samey' week after week.
  12. I read the Star article on this today and realised just how much they miss their Managing Editor. The article detailed the shambles that the promoters have created with ridiculous variations in regulations across the leagues; but without any enciteful, critical comment that would doubtless have come from Mr. Rising. Shame.
  13. You'd have to be the world's greatest optimist to even think for a single moment that there is anything 'temporary' about this. This is just the beginning; we are in this for the long haul.
  14. It makes you question whether in the act of becoming a Speedway Promoter do these numpties forget all and disengage their brains from remembering what it is to be an actual supporter paying at the gate ? How often is a drawn match likely to be a reflection of a hard fought match that in the end we usually say 'a draw was a fair result' or 'It would be a shame for anyone to have lost tonight'. How often is a drawn match a 'bad result' that needs to be modified by an extra race ? And that after a nominated heat 15 anyway. And with the match points reflecting the away team's success at running so close as well. And a different crappy point scoring for that one race.
  15. Because with just six teams (Two under the same control) you only need 3 or 4 idiots in the Premiership to have a majority to make daft changes for themselves. The sanity within the Championship must keep the nutters at bay.
  16. And it's the dispicable 4-3-2-0 scoring to contrive a definite result. A draw is often a very good and fair result especially for an away side, achieved with a full 7 riders (hopefully). So now it's just down to which team has just the best top two only and the justice/joy of a hard fought draw is lost. Ridiculous to change it. Boils my p!ss.
  17. You jest... But actually I bet there would be a massive take up just to watch the play offs only at the end of the season ... Is this part of a well thought out 'strategy' or just something they have not yet twigged ?
