For once I agree with you!! Most of the hold ups during the PL meeting were unavoidable especially when Gjedde was taken from the track in the ambulance. Perhaps some of the ideas from Main Man should be brought up at the pre season meeting for the Development Leagues and hopefully something positive will come out of it. Riders in the DL need track time to improve. There are so many complaints about dearth of British riders coming through; lets help them!!

Stoke Sign Lambert (that's Simon, Not Robert!)
Skodaman replied to vog's topic in National League Speedway
Lambert was dropped by Leicester to make way for a rider to replace Simon Neilsen and Lewis Blackbird in the same was as Pickars was dropped. Simon has struggled a bit at Leicester but he has scored some vital points when needed. He was removed as part of the averages jigsaw!! -

What Is Going On At Leicester ?
Skodaman replied to djp45's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
David Hemsley told me on Sunday evening that Glyn has several ideas he wants to try on the track. He also said that all of theriders want to ride for Leicester even though Jason Has gone. David was wandering around the terraces on Sunday willing to answer any questions put to him; all you need to do is stop him and ask if you want to know anything. Please ask politely otherwise you will get no response. -
What Is Going On At Leicester ?

Surely that is the idea - all riders should be trying to pass on any track!!! -
Robert, the track conforms to SCB regulations and if the track is dangerous, which I dont think it is, then Doc Bridget or Colin Meredith, who represent the SCB, would have done something about it!!

I think Jackson and Robert should write to DH and complain that the racing is too good at BP!!

Following the updates for the Somerset match, I thought the meeting was at Leicester for the first ten heats. Heat 7 was the only heat where passing took place after the back straight on the first lap. Fortunately, things livened up in the last five heats.

Its in the programme!!

These tanks could be settlement tanks . When the water drains off the track it takes some of the surface with it. The track material settles in the tank and is then pumped out and reused on the track. I beleive this is what happens but perhaps Tsunami could put me right on this.

Try reading my previous threads. At the Q and A session pre season he said it was the long term aim to go EL.

Over the last few weeks I have tried to be fair and constructive with my statements. I am not happy with the racing yet I have written a constructive letter to DH and recieved a reply within 7 days. I dont believe in senseless moaning. I have also stated on this forum how I feel the shape of the track is not the whole problem as the racing was a lot better during the latter part of last season when Glyn prepared the track differently putting more emphasis on grip on the outside and silicker on the inside. I do not feel that it is wise to change the track mid season, especially with the weather being as it has been recently. I shall continue to go to BP and hope that the racing is improved by changing the track surface; but this may annoy the riders!! Incidently, as I have stated previously, DH was not happy with the racing during the testimonal meeting.

To stop your constant moaning!!

Track specialists such as Alan Bridgett have been consulted and the conclusion was the same - the white line taken in on the bends.

You could not get a track like Blackbird in the space allocated for the stadium!!

I now think that Plymouth are certs for the Pairs!!!
-
Play off final - Ipswich and Somerset (Newport as outsiders) Fours - Leicester Pairs - Plymouth Top Rider - Barker Newcomer - Tungate Most Improved - Heeps/Garrity Wooden Spoon - Glasgow/Plymouth
-
Leicester were averaging over 2000 even when they were continuously losing home and away.
-
I say we go back to the bonus point for the better aggregate sore over the two home and away matches; Lions would still have finished bottom!!!
