2013 - Changes / What Do You Like ?
Skodaman replied to Lewis's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think that when riders are missing from both teams, R/R and guest use should cancel each other out ie No 1s from both teams are out; no PL guests, NL guests for both teams only. Similarily for other riders missing from both teams, which would normally require R/R, NL guests for both teams. There is nothing wrong with parades providing the first race is as advertised!! -

Leicester have a better away record than Workington and Edinburgh who are unfortunately in the other group! -
Glyn Taylor is to be interviewed on Radio Leicester. It will be interesting to see what he has to say.

What Is Going On At Leicester ?
Skodaman replied to djp45's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If he is open to offers, why would he be asking the BSPA to allow them to be promoted into the EL? -
The speedwaygb site only gives Workington v Ipswich for next weekend and no other home fixtures for that period.

What Is Going On At Leicester ?
Skodaman replied to djp45's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Thanks for correcting my error. My unreserved apologies to Robert72. My understanding is that there was never any animosity between the two of them but Jason was unhappy with the track preparation by Gareth and considered coming back when Glyn came back. -

I asked you the following question some weeks ago and you have yet to answer it - What animosity between Jason and Glyn!! -
No club will provide this sort of info until everything is settled. If they say a particular rider is to be signed and it falls through, the likes of yourself are likely to criticise the promoters for giving wrong info.

Leicester Vs Workington - 02/09/2012
Skodaman replied to Firestone1's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I dont mind an honest opinion, its the repetition that gets my goat. The meeting against Workington was not the best, other than Race 2 - Ashley v Lewis - but I felt that generally only three Comets were anything like competitive - all five race wins for Comets were by two riders!! -

Please, Rockets fans tellme about the camber at Rye Hpouse. I have not been there but I have heard a lot about it froms supporters and those within the sport. I know this may be read in many ways but according to the official track standards your track could be failing. Quote - "Banking Banking is permitted but should be constant from the inner edge to the safety fence. No limit is specified in the SCB rules but a maximum of 5% on the straights and 10% on the bends is suggested. Just thought I would stir things up!!! -

Jenga is right; Robert 72 has hijacked this thread and several of us have been drawn in - lets get back to Leicester v Workington. -

The answer then is that he is not happy. Once again, it was Glyn on this forum that said the track was being changed last season. Nothing officially came from the club! The Premier League would not survive without volunteers and part timers such as Rob, Chris and Glyn. Last season "fans" wanted Chris Popple to take over the presenters role with Rob in the box. DH did as these people wanted. Chris is still involved with the club even though he is not presenting now - hardly getting the sack is it. Incidently, I reported earlier in the season on this forum that I had complained in writing to DH about the poor racing. He sent me a reply. Some others who claimed to have written said that they received no reply was received - was it because of the tone of the letters? I have spoken to DH on his regular tours of the terracing and he appears amenable and is willing to discuss points made to him. I am neither friend or foe, I am a speedway supporter who likes fair play. -

<<Mick, you are so wrong, i have no idea who ken is and have never met him, so get your facts right, i am a speedway fan and not in a group of anti hemsley, i solely think hemsley is an idiot for not listening to people and making leicester speedway the most boring track in the country.>> Robert, If you are not anti Hemsley, why do you never say anything good about him. He has made mistakes, including the track shape, but he does listen and several things have changed since last years opening such as presenters, team managers, rubbish bins, terracing, team etc. I feel that my postings have been fair - criticism when necessary and praise when needed. -

I believe the only report of the track being changed after last season was by Glyn on this forum; this time the promoters have annpounced it on the centre green and in the programme - I think it would be very embarrassing if it is not done now!! -

I try to be fair with my comments and I have to admit that I did not enjoy this meeting at all especially after last weeks extended meeting when Rye House were our opponents. In my opinion it is the referee that should push the meeting on. Two or three weeks ago my wife was surprised when I was home at just after 9 o'clock; that week the referee really pushed the meeting on due to impending rain which never arrived; and so it can be done but it needs the riders, team managers and referee to want it to happen. -

In my opinion, Leicester did not deserve to win. In my mind the meeting took such a long time because the referee did not push it along. He could have used the 2minute warning on more occasions. Some Workington riders were always slow from the pits; on several occasions the Lions riders were at the tapes waiting for the opposition to appear; there were several restarts due to starting infringments (one positive for the referee) and falls. When a restart is required, the referee must allow one minute before he puts the riders on two minutes, at times he was allowing much longer. There were restarts in at least 10 of the fifteen races. David Hemsley caannot be blamed for the shambles of last night - when are you going to say something positive about him!!
