There will be a large travelling support next week , looking forward to it my first visit to Northside. It is good to see Workington back and the feel good factor surrounding them.

He has a point though, if you keep diluting the product but charge the same or more for it then eventually fans will see it as not value for money. The way it will be viewed and rightly is paying less 2 years ago for a better product. Nearly all sports look to improve there product but in Speedway it is the opposite.

The Starke signing was strange ,guess it was down to team average being lowered once again. We were spoiled last season with the racers and quality we had , I get the feeling this season is going to be a slog.

Workington really impressed me even with us scraping home , on the exclusion going by the rules the ref got the decision correct but seriously it was as harsh as an exclusion you will see. Most referees would probably have warned him nothing more, but we seriously need to up our game with the exception of Bomber, Pearson & Leon.

Cook did move away from the tapes slightly after the clock had run down. It was a harsh exclusion though.

Hard fought win against a solid Workington Leon improving week on week and young James chipped in with important points as did Smith. 3 points from your second heat leader is not acceptable at home and nearly cost us ,the less said about Starke and the tractor he was on the better.

Was waiting on someone coming up with that scenario, only thought of it after I posted.

I think the dragging out of the disciplinary hearing for Lee has now become more relevant with Ace out. Would guess our promotion will be onto the SCB to move this on quicker now we are in the position off having no reserves.

With Ace breaking his wrist last night Jack Smith would be the obvious replacement, what happens with the Complin hearing will decide who he replaces .

Leon scored paid 10 from 4 rides which for your 3rd heat leader is more than acceptable. I agree he is still lacking speed but with our injury/suspension issues he is the least of our worries.

Leon looked better tonight but still lacking speed his track craft more than anything got him through. Think we would have took 12 points before it started and some great racing again. Sets things up nicely for Wednesday. And take a bow Jack Smith absolutely superb.
