  1. He will be referring to the off track success in the phase 1 renovation off the stadium and the massive upturn in crowd levels I would class that as a success wouldn't you.
  2. Cyclone we are used to his ranting's all pretty amusing as his dis-like for all thing's Glasgow are apparent so it is expected,to be fair if you want any gossip he is your man he is usually wrong right enough.
  3. So we helped you out by agreeing these dates for the L/C final to enable them to ride better not tell Blobby his blood pressure wouldn't cope.
  4. Off course you do but seeing as your a good blue nose you are exempt from criticism unlike Blobby waiting on his next rant on the impending asteroid on a collision course with Armadale and how we instigated it.
  5. Ah well that will be that then we can close this thread anytime now.
  6. I guess and it is only my opinion riding this weekend leaves little time to promote and advertise the meetings adequately. Can't speak for Plymouth but the Glasgow promotion are very proactive in driving there product through local radio , papers etc only my opinion mind you.
  7. Seems some Monarchs well one but I won't name him will I Blobby have some conspiracy theory that we are delaying it to arse them about. Funny enough I thought it was Plymouth we were racing and not the smugs therefore dates would be agreed between Plymouth & Glasgow well you would think that would be the case.
  8. No I don't think we would crowd levels are on the rise substantially and wouldn't risk losing what has been attracted by changing race day.
  9. Yes in his own deluded way he thinks it's all our fault comedy gold at it's best.
  10. Just out off curiosity when is the Aus GP as i am pretty sure that the Edinburgh Moanarch's would have known that there was a pretty good chance that the play off's would be achievable and now there in the KO Cup final i am sure Somerset will be getting the conspiracy theory's soon also. How Ironic would it be if the Rebels play hard ball with dates after all it wouldn't be there fault 3 Edinburgh riders decided not to see the full season out now would it. Not that I'm putting any ideas into there head heaven forbid. Not the Xmas present they would be hoping for i guess .
  11. Is it aye Just my opinion but is it just not possible that Glasgow & Plymouth have sat down and maybe just maybe agreed these dates just saying like for the whinging Moanarchs.
  12. Might be too difficult for the mob to understand that tough & titty spring to mind. Do they aye.
  13. As i said would really depend on the money offered to make it worthwhile for him to return to Glasgow but it is all hypothetical at the moment.
  14. Yep i would agree with that the boy is going far but on his average i would hope we see him back at Glasgow next season it is a no brainer.
  15. Dates have now been set 1st leg Plymouth 2nd Oct 2nd leg Glasgow 4th Oct
  16. Anders will i assume be offered a return to his parent club really depend's on the ££££££ he is offered to make it worth his while .
  17. Think we will build around Aaron & Richard next season would love to see Anders Thomsen back but if he has polish commitments then that may scupper that.
  18. Rye House tried to get suitable guest's so not really a lot they can do about it if they are knocked back, the circumstance they found themselves in could have and i dare say has happened to other teams. You are right though it is the way the sport in general is being damaged for the spectator I am almost sure if Shads or any Rye supporter had travelled up they would have felt short changed but as i say nothing more Rye could have done they attempted to get guest's and none were willing for whatever reason.
  19. Not the only team to be plagued by injuries we have all had them at some point and yes we are lucky that we got the new owner's when we did or we probably would have no Speedway to watch at Glasgow. And yes i am complaining about the meeting as it was absolute dross regardless if i paid £5,£10.or the £15 it cost it is my perrogative and any other paying supporter to say it how it they see it and that was dross as i say Rye were stuck between a rock and a hard place after last night with injuries. But it was worse than a poor meeting Kennet & to a lesser extent Lykke watching rider's more than half a lap behind does not represent good value but not a lot you can do about it due to the issues Rye faced being honest they probably could have done without it after the double header last night and how it unfolded fair play to Eddie Kennett though apologising to Stewart Dickson on bringing such a weak team.
  20. Totally agree if it's possible next week should be arranged was announced today Kauko will be practicing on Friday in Finland and all being well he should be good to go don't know the Todd Kurtz situation on how long he will be missing ?
  21. Not complaining not really a lot Rye could do at such short notice but it was by far & away the worst meeting that i have seen and the fan's were short changed with zero entertainment value whatsoever. Teams put together are done on budget's to suit this year we are in the privileged position to afford a half decent team, years gone by we didn't would you rather we put together a team we couldn't afford and maybe close or put one together that was sustainable but not that strong a no brainer i'm afraid.
