  1. It's not funny, I've supported the Panthers for over 10 years. It's time Mick and the Panthers gave something back to me, Let Students in for a £5.
  2. If I go University next year then I won't be able to afford to go to the Speedway. I hope Mick Horton has a initiative for people like me.
  3. Scunthorpe should book Ulrich, He's desperate for guest bookings
  4. Workington Comets 1. Josh Grajczonek 2. Mason Campton 3. Ricky Wells 4. Kyle Howarth 5. Rene Bach 6. Chris Mills 7. Ashley Morris Peterborough Panthers 1. Ryan Fisher 2. Lewis Blackbird 3. Ales Dryml 4. Ulrich Ostergaard 5. Lasse Bjerre 6. Joe Jacobs 7. Oliver Greenwood. Looking at the two sides, I can't see anything but a Panthers win as our Top 5 is so strong, I expect Fisher, Dryml, Ulrich and Lasse all to score 10+ and Blackbird on current form will score 7 or 8 points quite easily. I expect the Comets will give us a fight but come the end of the night, The superior Panthers will walk out with all the points. Prediction: Workington Comets 27-63 Peterborough Panthers Fisher: 13 Dryml: 10 Lasse: 12 Ulrich: 11 Blackbird: 10 Jacobs: 3 Greenwood: 4
  5. I underestimated the Buczkowski factor, the BSI and Paul Bellamy will be extremely worried about the ticket sales if the information is correct. Expect them to hand out thousands of tickets to school kids in order to make the stadium look full.
  6. Torun are over-rated, They won't win the league.. Mark my words. Their whole side is built on mercenaries that are injury prone Z Gora will win as they have team spirit and Hampel is a miles better polish league rider than anyone in Torun's side.
  7. Jonasson would be a interesting Number 1, An average of 9.48 in the PL so the side would need to be re-adjusted. Also has knowledge of the Scottish area as he was a regular for the Edinburgh Monarchs previously.
  8. Can't sleep, so worried that we may not qualify for the league cup semis
  9. This is going to be a tight finish but Somerset and Ipswich are firm outsiders in my opinion. 14 points won't be enough to qualify as runner up ahead of Redcar in Group B, The Rebels have to win both of their home matches by 7 point margins or more and then hope that the Panthers lose both of theirs but not just lose, they will need the Panthers to be hammered and the Rebels will also need to hammer Ipswich and Rye House in order to overturn the +51 Panthers have and the -7 the Rebels currently have. So they need a 58 point swing to qualify as 14 points won't be enough to qualify as the runner up, If Ipswich get anything from the Somerset match then the Rebels are out but the Witches have to draw/win at the Oaktree arena as 14 points won't be enough for them as the Panthers have a much superior points difference and It's unlikely that the Witches will be able to overturn a +48 points difference unless the Panthers take two severe beatings at Rye House and Plymouth.
  10. Would be good to see Lemo get fixed up
  11. Glasgow's decision not to retain Dakota North appears stranger and stranger.
  12. If Richard Lawson was riding, No way Cook would have scored 14.
  13. A great day for the Panthers, On the verge of qualification! Ipswich have just been pummeled by the brute of Len Silver's Rye House Rockets.
  14. Ipswich Witches semi-final hopes have been dealt a hammer blow as they look like going down at Rye House, This would leave the Witches on 13 points and with only a trip to Somerset left where they could be required to get a point in order to stop Somerset taking their 2nd spot which could be vital as Group C's runner up might qualify as best runner up. There will be anger in the Witches camp, mainly aimed at the performances of Rohan Tungate and Cameron Heeps, Once labelled as Ipswich's very own "turbo twins" but have instead today performed as the "chuckle brothers".
  15. Because Pete is and always will be the team manager. It's a bit like Alex Ferguson and United, The legacy Pete has built will remain for decades.
  16. A must win for Ipswich, Pete Simmons will have the lads fired up no doubt. A win would sensationally take them back to the top of Group C ahead of the much superior Peterborough Panthers so that would be an extra bonus for the Witches fans.
  17. Thanks for that, I've amended the original post. Tonight's defeat for Somerset has left their hopes hanging by a thread, The maximum they can reach is 14 points with two maximum home wins against Ipswich and Rye House but with the Witches on 13 and the Panthers on 14, It looks like they are firm outsiders. The Panthers meanwhile have to visit Rye House where they have already been giving a hammering along with a very tough Plymouth side that is rejuvenated with the form of Kyle Newman.
  18. Group A: Edinburgh (Confirmed) Group B: Sheffield (Confirmed) Group C: Peterborough with 14 points from 6 matches (Plymouth and Rye House away) Ipswich with 13 points from 6 matches (Rye House and Somerset away) Somerset with 8 points from 6 matches (Rye House and Ipswich home) Plymouth Eliminated Rye House Eliminated Best Runner Up? Group A: Group B: Redcar with 11 points from 6 matches come in at a rate of 1.83 So Edinburgh and Sheffield are both in the Semi-Finals and It's between the rest for the last two spots but the East Anglia clubs on paper look the favorites for Group C but Somerset have two home matches in the bank which could take their total to 14. Redcar have finished their league cup programme and end up in a runner-up position with their all important points per game rate being at 1.83 but they will be hoping for other results from Group A and C to go their way in order to qualify. Who's going to reach the Semi-Finals of this enthralling prestigious competition?
  19. It's a decent side but better than this? Stal Gorzow - 2012 Tomasz Gollob Michael Jepsen Jensen Matej Zagar Niels Kristian Iversen Krzysztof Kasprzak Adrian Cyfer Bartosz Zmarzlik
  20. This will be a tighter affair I feel as the Witches will be out to prove that they aren't as bad as they look on paper. But the Panthers are simply just too strong in the crucial areas, Dryml, Ulrich, Lasse and Bach is like having four number 1's and Blackbird is riding like a 2nd heat-leader at the moment. Going for 53-39 with the Witches showing a bit of fight but ultimately the better side coming out on top.
