  1. I blame Starmans dog for it, what a stupid place to bury a bone
  2. That was funny, also a bit dangerous, but all the riders managed to ride round it.
  3. If that is the case it is a shame that more clubs do not use that facility to promote their club and the sport.
  4. Do not think that is quite right, it was mentioned a couple of days ago that clubs are not allowed to put clips of races on their websites without going through all the rigmarole of getting permission from go speed etc. I do agree with your last para, anything that entices people to attend is needed.
  5. Looking at those conditions for the non flying of drones: over or within 150 mtrs of a congested area over or near a public meeting of more than 1000 people being within 50 mtrs of buildings etc If you filmed from more than 50 mtrs away I would think none of the above would apply to Eastbourne Speedway. Those conditions could apply to other speedway tracks.
  6. Pictures of many clubs teams appear on their websites, and in the press, within hours of them being taken, so the non showing of them is down to the people running the website. Apologise if you were being sarcastic re go-speed.
  7. I wonder if there is a sign outside of or at the turnstiles at the club informing people that they are not allowed to film any part of the meeting. What are Eastbourne going to do if someone uses a drone from outside the stadium to record and broadcast anything. The people in charge of British speedway do almost nothing to promote the sport, does it not sink in that the showing of an odd race on social media may entice people to visit a track and watch it.
  8. Friday will be a tester as we will have not raced against an EL club so a more realistic meeting will be Sunday.
  9. That is the point I made on Sat SS, if the track not being good was known beforehand who knows what the courts would award costs for.
  10. More importantly will any Wolves fans travel to it or would they wait until a few meetings have been held there.
  11. If Gordon was stupid enough to allow a third party, and by the sound of it a non speedway third party, to build and lay the track then does not test it he deserves all the flack he is getting. Laying a track is a specialist job that even some of the curators that have been doing it for years do not always get right due to the weather or material which is too dry or wet, who in their right mind would leave a job like that to a contractor.
  12. Looking at the reports from people who attended the state of the track was not the only problem. This was another case of the people in charge either not organising everything properly or ignoring others who are telling them things are not right. No way should this meeting have gone ahead without a proper test event having taken place beforehand. I accept the timescale was screwed but the management should have cancelled the event.
  13. Have really enjoyed Guy Martin's previous series and this one, a very genuine individual.
  14. Not sure if Steve0 is but some are, this will be a good meeting.
  15. Jason Doyle wins Chris Harris testimonial equal on 12 points going into the final with Nicki Pedersen. Jason wins final, 2nd Nicki Pedersen, 3rd Rory Schlein, 4th Scott Nicholls
  16. I understand what you are saying but there could be a major problem if more than two riders need to be taken to hospital urgently at the same time.
  17. The issue at Somerset was the situation that they only had one ambulance which caused a long delay following the unfortunate accident to Jake, which luckily seems to not be so bad as first thought. Then the curfew came into play. No track should run with one ambulance, especially if the hospital is miles away. Could you imagine a football match being held up due to an ambulance taking an injured player to hospital
  18. That is the 7th home meeting by which time, subject to the weather between now and then, the track should have had plenty of testing and meeting reports will show if it has been sorted out or not. If the weather is ok the track should have been sorted out by May 2nd if not before.
  19. Fans from other clubs might also give it a miss for many weeks.
  20. I do not know why they bother with that page as it is nearly always not up to date. In fact there are two previously mentioned planned televised meetings not being shown on it.
  21. I bet sky are reviewing their showing the meeting with Poole
  22. Agree, you need plenty of Cliff Richard and Des O'connor or the oaps will stay away .
  23. The parking mafia at Swindon tried that but the majority of car owners told them to get stuffed and parked sensibly in rows of two.
