So what do like about speedway that has come in ...the play offs ? GP'S ? Sky tv ? double points ? .

You don't see the evindence..what age group would you say that the people who have moan about the play offs are on here .like sid and ian etc ? the bottom line without the over 55 this topic would have died a lot ago . unless you can show me otherwise

Sorry there no insult here ...my point is a good one in that all the people moaning are all of a certain age group ...all are over 55 and scared of change or dont like change and that is the real reason they don't like plays offs gp etc not the poor reasons they put forward ..it's not insult it's a valid point . It you took away over 55's then this topic would lasted about one page .

Football does not need to have play offs for who win the league as teams can go up and down leagues thus meaning that nearly all matches something . Hence why Speedway has them using the top 4 and making that sure most matches mean something that is the whole point Not sure what it matters if the Nl vote was unanimous or not the bottom is that decided to go with it . What is unanimous is that every league uk as well Sweden and Poland used them . I think that speaks for itself on what people want . I doubt your find many moaning about them bar people over 55 years olds who tend to moan about most things and live in the past .

Great post ..my problem has been with the press statements and giving out false promises that we knew could not be kept ...all we wanted to hear was that we are at the abbey intill we hear otherwise ..all the fans would have accepted that as they know the club has no control over when the stadium can be built . But of course as each promise has been broken the fans have quite rightly given them some stick

All the surveys have been done when clubs etc do market research etc to see what the customer wants ...and every time the plays offs are wanted ..if people never went because they thought it was unfair and the crowds were dropping because of that then all these over sports were have lost all these fans as well ..so the fact they is not the case shows it's a only in speedway myth . Teams with deep pockets are always likely to do well no matter what the format so another void point just like your point about home track advantage ..when was the last who won the el play offs because of home track advantage ? as the for unfair bit people know the rules before hand so bar a group of over 55 years nearly everyone has long forgotten about it being unfair because quite clearly its not . The burden of proof is on you as the play offs are already in place and it's you who want to change them . and as of yet not one person has put one reason forward why the crowds would be bigger without them and why fans would start watching matches that have nothing riding on them .

Is a easy point to make ..why would someone not want go to speedway because the play offs were boring but would go to a normal league match when there nothing to race for ...if he did say that is makes no sense or logic If a fan never went because he thought the play offs were unfair then in all sports that used the plays offs would have failed and the fans would have gone away but as we have seen that is clearly not the case. so what you say is 100 % untrue . unless it's another only in speedway myth... I never got this unfair bit anyhow ...as everyone knows the rules before hand . So we get to the same question again ..without the plays offs why would these matches between march to September get bigger crowds ?

.No doubt if the play offs got taken way he would say ...Dad I really want to go to speedway . why son ? there a 3 v 4 place match and none of them can win anything or have anything to race for so I really want to go . Yet again no side can bring up any financial evidence because we will never be able to have both formats run at the same time in the same era so there no point bringing that up . What can be used is common sense and logic and that is what people who liked the play offs have put forward ...when we ask you why crowds would be bigger without play offs you can find no answer so until you do yours points have zero value .

?? what are you about ... you keep saying the play offs make up for losses during the season as the crowds are poor so as I asked you to explain why those same matches would be bigger without the play offs ? also if clubs do makes losses during the season why by not having play offs how would they help them make up these losses you keep going on about ? About the 5th press statement saying the stadium has be delayed ....now we just got to wait for the next one mid way into the season telling us about the next delay ....Glad we got speedway at the abbey next season but wish we would cut the bull ...sadly the whole farewell meeting was sold on a lie/false promise . .
