There is no ambition because there is nothing to be ambitious about that is what the debate is about ...giving Pl teams the cream of the meetings is hardly going to change that . In football all the teams want to get the top because the rewards are there that is why people think speedway is a joke as teams want to stay in a lower league thats got to change .

Only in the last couple of weeks two teams have made nosies about closeing due to losing money ....Both of those have been Pl clubs in fact one of those clubs had a Crowd of 266 ! ....The El is far from perfect but it's speedway in general that is in trouble not just the El .

Of course it had plenty to do with leagues ..it was saying you stay in the Pl and will still give you big meetings ....There is little reason and not many carrots to try to make teams better themselfs and move up . Speedway will always be look at as a joke while big Teams like Kings lynn are happy to race at a lower standard (not that i blame them ) giving the big meetings to El clubs is one way of trying to buck that trend .

It's been explained about 500 times that it's nothing about what the track is like or weather Buster Chapman and co can stage a meeting like this . It's about rewarding ambition in league terms quite simple .

Yep the first 18 or so heats tonight were better than Kings lynn ...the racing there looked better because of the bigger crowd and the fact that team Gb were doing well as well as the scores being close overall .

Yet again another who misses the point... there not a problem with the stadium or the track it's weather Pl team should be rewarded with an a event as such as this . We all know that Kings Lynn have a better track ,Stadium and better crowds than some Elite teams so it begs the question why are they in Divsion 2 and these other teams in divsion one in the first place ?and the answer is they don't need to as there is no reward to, and if you get gigs like this for being a division to side nothing ever going to change .

Bagpuss i unrstand why teams don't want to go up and I don't blame them ....but there is no other sport i n the world that teams want to be a second divsion club rather than being in the top league ....the point is that Speedway has to make the Top league the place to be and for that to happen the rewards must be there for the teams to step up .....Giving Pl teams events like this it not going to help .
