As I said in life people actions will effect and hurt others, surely you understand that ?..the person who commits the crime should understand consequences it will have on others (his family ) before doing it
-
People's actions will always cause hurt to others ...the bottom line is you can't allowed people to take bungs just because they say they are going to close the club down ...he took dirty money and should pay it back ..if the club closes then he will be one to blame . What rules do you want ? clubs to do what they want because they might close the club down otherwise ?
-
Rules are same all everyone in football.l in any sport including speedway people with the most money have the better teams but the rules and how you used them are the same for everyone ...only letting teams that are losing to bring on subs would be laugh out of town in football but somehow in Speedway it was ok ...I don't like double points but don't try to defend the old tac sub rule because it was just a bigger joke .
-
Yea Boro lost was Birmingham gain what a job he done there .
-
So you think that in uk speedway should able to take bungs to allowed riders to miss matches and be replaced by nl riders etc ....you take money for that sort thing in any sport and likely to get a life ban ...so yes it is boro's fault and yes he got off lightly ..take your Boro blinkers off and wake up .
-
The old tac rule bringing in more false results is not opinion ..it is fact .
-
? Boro are at fault are in my book has got off very lightly ...if the club closes down then will be one man's fault and it's not chapman's ..who it there right mind can think ok to take bungs to allowed your own riders to miss matches and be replaced by a junior . This is the trouble with speedway fans ..they moan and groan about riders and teams taking the mickey and want firm action but the moment someone tries to do that they are up in arms about it .
-
People never had a issue then because the rest of the product was good and we had forums like this and the internet in general ..ive been to speedway for many a year I not heard person moan about the old rule or the new rule while at a match The point being made is the rule being a joke and it bringing us more false results ,not if it's more entertaining. And as I have pointed out the old rule gave us many more false results . The bottom line if the many more important problems were sorted out then on one would really care .
-
Why do you think the old tac sub rule was used ? the stats show you that the old rule created more false results than the new one but at the time in had no effect on crowd sizes .. Thou I don't any tac rule of any sort people are deluded if they think that crowds are some how going to go up if they take it away . in a sport that has massive problems it's way down the list and if the teams were of good strength and track decent etc etc no one would care a rats arse about it like they never in the days of the old tac sub .

Just being reading the life story of Harry Findlay the life time gambler who also ran the dogs at Brandon ...in the books he tells how he was told not to trust Sandhu Who in the end screw him over .

Premiership Grand Final 2nd Leg - Wolves Vs Swindon 4 Oct
orion replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well done Swindon ..must admit I had given up hope after the first leg but rosco kept his cool and we staged a fightback ..Have to feel sorry for Wolves who doubt would won but for the top two missing and that was the telling factor in the end . Have to give a lot respect to both set of fans at the track and on this forum ...nothing but respect to each other in victory and defeat makes a welcome change . -
Premiership Grand Final 2nd Leg - Wolves Vs Swindon 4 Oct

so true ..the best two moments in speedway for me as well. -
As I said no one is getting taking them to task about this ...The Swindon media have let them get away with it .
-
To make more money is the logic ...in all over sports finals cost more to get in why not speedway ..After all clubs are losing money so why should they not make some to help them out . As for a rip off ..there is no con ..the price is £ 20 to watch the final. You then have the choice to pay that or not ,there is no law forcing you to go .
-
It's not what said or asked in your first post ..your question was why the track was like it was and then saying the blame was on Rosco for having it like that . As I explained and it was confirmed by Tatum after speaking to Ronnie Russell that it had to be like that due to the heavy rain over the weekend and the poor forcast for the afternoon of the meeting ...not an excuse as the track was the same for both sides just the facts ..no doubt a great trackman like yourself would have covered the track in heavy dirt so if it did rain the match would have had no chance of taking place and Swindon speedway would have lost there biggest crowd and income of the season . Your Point about Rosco looking at the track and then getting his riders to adap to it if a another and maybe a valid point but not the question you asked in your first post .

Premiership Grand Final 2nd Leg - Wolves Vs Swindon 4 Oct

They cant use a guest to replace Ellis ..it would be rr -
First of all well done wolves a well deserved win ...a number factors did not help Swindon ,the slick track no doubt fearing the rain Ellis and Dwd not being 100 % fit and a poor start to the meeting for Morris ..I thought Howarth and Masters were outstanding for Wolves with the rest giving good support . Lucky Wolves never had there full side out on another note I thought ref was shocking ..letting riders on both sides get away with rollers and there is no way Morris made the 2 mins in heat 13 ..the clock had ran out when he was nowhere near the start .
