First time I can remember having to delay the start to let folk in at Ashfield they just kept coming in it has got to have been a wealthy crowd tonight stand was full well before the meeting 2 hospitality box’s full not much Space in the forth bend enclosure and the stand there it was great meeting for the fans to watch had everything you would want in a match and Speedway under flood lights can’t beat it

Looking at Jack smith he was also a 2 but is a 3.7 in championship he never got his ave lowered same as Nathan grieves he is under 3 but stuck with his championship ave from last year 4.37

Max cleggs premiership ave is null and void now because rye house have pulled out the league so is stuck with over 4 ave not many 3.03 riders out there

If you really look at the team not one riders stands out we have been unfortunate in mechanical gremlins, riders not being fully fit every riders has had bad weeks and good weeks so dont think any riders should be singled out in this way and as Richie says in the star you can’t win every race no matter how good you are having helped Richie in the pits many times I can say he puts more thought into every ride between races than any rider I have helped he watches every race looks where the riders are getting best lines on the track and makes changes to suit sometimes when you try to hard it goes against you

Pretty Sure they also used to use old engine oil along with detergent to help bind it together and it also helped to hold the moisture stewart Dickson used to really soak Glasgow the night before after the sun had gone down on hot days then all Sunday morning up to match but still kicked up dust halfway through the meeting a lot depends on the base type and clay shale content

Not now Ian we paid our riders this week and had to pay for our tyre also heard some team had to borrow tyres from another club because there supplier has put a stop on their credit

They let terry the track man go last week and now it’s the guy that did Scunthorpe doing it now

No holes just the base beginning to show through where they come in and turn on the fastest line into the bends the leaders always hit that part every lap then when they hit the shale again the bike picks up but some riders can use it to there advantage but if you try to miss it you could end up going from first to last pretty quickly they have been working on both corners now for weeks but with the weather being too good and still they don't seem to be able to get the track to settle ,doc Bridgett was in this week and abvised them to use a clay mix rather than just packing in shale as it would bind better with the base so here's hoping for a better meeting this Friday ,having it in the evening will also help

Sarj was meant to replace jack in ht 14 but because starky pulled out jack was back in and the confusion was who was replacing who but between the manager and the COC who tells the ref what’s happening with rider changes could or should have sorted it before both riders went on track

It’s just been called off waterlogged track

Riders have their favourite engines for certain tracks and seem to know when they start to lose power around 30-35 hts sometimes less and sends them to get serviced and when they come back some never seem to be the same new parts can cause this Richie dropped a valve in his fav engine which basically means you chuck the top end of the engine in the bin around £1700 later he gets it back with all new top end and it is not like what it was before it went bang sends it back after telling his tuner where it lacks power he tweaks it and hopfully it’s better next week
