There is a more in the rider than in the bike !!!!!! and pretty sure Liam will have his equipment ready for start of season if not already he was thrown in at the deep end at the end of last season and never looked out of place at admadale which is probably the hardest track to ride in the pl the others he rode in pl were probably new to him but he will be more experienced on them next year and with Claus vissing there he will help him big time as him and cookie helped him a lot at Edinburgh and the good thing about Liam was he took it all in and did it on the track and looking at a few of the no 7s this year they are in there first year in pl don't think anyone should worry about him he will do just fine and he should not have any pressure on him in his first full year
-
Looking at most teams declared so far the number 7,s seems to be British 3 pointers and in their first full year and think if we get someone with a bit more experience there , it could be the key to a decent season would like Joey one of our assets finished well and will be better with having ridden all away track last season think he should be given a chance

Coventry Storm V Dudley Fri April 19th At 8pm
mac101 replied to Main Man's topic in National League Speedway
Tommy fenwick will do a great job for the Coventry storm and i don't think travel will bother him at all and he has got great machinery for a guy that's only been riding for a year i think he will surprise a few folk with his gating heat leaders will have to be quick to beat him to that first corner super quick your on to a winner with him just watch him bang in the points :t: -
i seen him at armadale of friday night and he looked very quick, with quicker times than heats 12 and 14 looks hungry for it and sure he will do a job for the bears

thats a bad start to the team for before a wheel is turned going to be a hard man to replace Vissing????

as someone stated earlier when the MCF approached the mx clubs of which i was a part of as i was on a scottish mx club committee at the time they were told to pee off until the MCF laid it all out for clubs to see how they could make a little more money for each club as most were on there knees with all the monies they had to put out to the acu to run a club events of which they got back nothing in return !!! now 80 percent of mx clubs run with the MCF as they have a licence to run most events cant see them not trying to get into speedway maybe that's what speedway needs a shake up and brought into the 21 century
-
Having came from mx to speedway last year and having done. A Few red bull and dep challenge meetings I can tell you they are very well run organised unit . And very strict with every thing very well equipped with sound meters for sound checks on silencers and machine testers/ examiners with tool for checking barrel sizes which a couple of riders are chosen randomly after every race and checked most mx clubs moved over to MCF because they were a lot cheaper to run there events through with the clubs making a bit more money as the acu used to charge clubs a fortune for licences permits insurance the MCF are now working in the 21 century with everything on line rather than a stamp and cheque book can't see why they can't work together on something like this. I take it most if not all of the riders that will ride in this are British and don't ride abroad can't see any harm competion is good for business in every sport

The Bymx and british mx championship is now just about finished the gates are dwindling away with most folk doing the likes of the red bull series or dep challenge and the master all run by the MCF and and the top riders that ride abroad which is not many these days also have a acu licence as well as a MCF As they want to race in as many events as they can but the money in mx is no where near as much as you can earn at speedway most riders just want to ride as much as they can
-
Nearly all the motocross clubs are now. Affiliated with the MCF after leaving the acu because they were paying to much to run there events To the acu Now the MCF run it without any interference from the acu they do not pay acu a penny for this either so speedway could go the same way
-
iIf you had taken time to check the MCF web sight they have been running very successfull motocross events for last couple of years and do everything in a modern fashion one of the guys that runs it joey Barton was head of the acu and wrote the rule book for them so think he will know the ins and out of running events they have now all the major mx events and nearly all club events thought out the uk all mx clubs have left the acu and joined the MCF but their events are called series's rather than championships and can't use British either as they are licences by the acu that's why it's called the speedway series they will hire the tracks from the land lords and run it as open meetings with there own permits and licences personal ect and with a far better up to date cover insurance cover than the acu/SCB All riders in all leagues pay there own insurance to to SCB for every race they ride in so if they score no points they still have to pay insurance for the race comes out of their earnings so its the riders that pay it not the SCB The rider will be free to ride as they will ride with a MCF licence not a scb one its pretty much like the riders that ride abroad which is not under the SCB rules kev Dolan just tweeted all talk this will run for a while yet trust me

When was it last serviced and what was done to it and who done it
-
With the top 4 in most championship already riding in the uk maybe they should have a championship just for riders that think they are ready for riding over here and top 4 or so riders being given the chance to get over here
-
The mcf issue there own licence and in mx you ride with mcf licence in there events and acu events use acu licences but can get day licence to use in any of there events
-
The mcf are now running a lot of the big mx and racing events in uk now they are a different federation more modern bringing it into the 20th century and run in competion with the acu/ sacu so can't see the SCB or the acu liking it but can't really do much about it and could mabe see a few more events being run by they a lot cheaper for clubs and riders
-
i think every pl club should have a registered no 8 rider from the NL at the start of each season rather than pick the best they can get half way through the season
-
if they dont have a contract of employment with a guaranteed payment structure or sponsorship for the whole season they will not be issued with a work visa to ride goes for all foreigners riding in this country
-
got 3.34 and think liam is 3.6
-
have widened entries into both corners and taking bends 3 and 4 down a bit which hopefully get rid of the dip going into bend 3
-
yes. i think he scored 14pts from 5 last time he rode there think he would score a barrow load of points from reserve and double his average no bother rode last couple pl matches at reserve for Glasgow and was flying would be a master stroke for stoke i think
-
The thing with most Aussies that come over here is in there first year they might have a contract that says they cannot be dropped for the first year that's why o,malley was never dropped i was told
-
it has taken Tyson a year to get his as it was knocked back last year the other couple of Aussies are over 20 and have had good few years more experience on a 500cc machine
-
Think he is a Swindon asset already
