  1. Tungate is a very good rider, isn't he? I'd absolutely love him at Redcar! Only 7 riders in the whole league have a higher average than Tungate. They are, Cook, L Bjerre, King, Barker, Allen, Stead and Kennett (only just by 0.02). Most of those have ridden speedway for far longer than Rohan Tungate to boot. There is more to come from this lad, he's your asset, has improved each season and finished a full point clear of anyone else in the Ipswich averages. Have faith in the lad and stick by him!
  2. I find the apathy from a few of the Ipswich fans on here towards potentially having King as your number 1, baffling to say the least. King is every bit as good a rider as Simon Stead, Ben Barker, Edward Kennett and I'd even say Craig Cook at Elite league level (bar this season). If you don't want him, we'll gladly take him at Redcar!!
  3. I'd imagine King will be on most fans' shopping list to lead their team, but I've a feeling he is Ipswich bound.
  4. Then you'll absolutely love Ricky Wells. I hope you sign him.
  5. Well he has simple as that, and after only his third season in the sport. "Lost his way" as said above? Do me a favour. God you Ipswich fans are damn hard to please at times!
  6. Is that the same Tungate who has increased his average this year, and after only his third season in professional speedway has climbed up to number 1 in the team with an average above 8? I wish more of the Redcar riders would "lose their way" as badly as that... As for King, I think you'll be in a tiny minority there too. I can't see him being anything other than a cracking signing for anyone as a Premier League number 1, especially now he's on a more attractive average than the inflated one he joined Newcastle on. All about opinions obviously.
  7. That's a pretty natural reaction when such disappointment sets in though isn't it? It happens in all sports. How often do you see football supporters leaving after 80 minutes when their team is being stuffed at home?
  8. I'm sure he would Halifax, and I think that's exactly what Baldyman was saying above..
  9. That's pretty standard just about everywhere these days, mostly processional racing with a scattering of good meetings here and there. Interestingly, even well respected race tracks like Kings Lynn have come under fire in recent times, mostly by their own supporters, for producing mainly poor racing.
  10. Aye, and will spend the winter tuning up his old broomstick..
  11. I think a little more credit to Ipswich is in order here! deary me. To pick up 4 away points anywhere in the PL is no easy task, and especially impressive when your number 1 fails to register a single point. Well done Ipswich.
  12. Personally I prefer posts like that, than the posts from the likes of the Edinburgh lot on here who will predict gloom and doom stuffings at places like Glasgow and Sheffield, despite must knowing they damn well won't! Ipswich are a better side than Plymouth and should go through over two legs, luck and injuries permitting.
  13. TBF you have read the website article wrong and your snide pop at Louis in your first post seems misguided. As Catch22 say's (which for some reason you're still not grasping), Louis hasn't been quoted as mentioning gates 1,2,3,4, inside gates, outside gates or Heeps improving. The change is obviously an attempt to get the lad firing, but the comments on the website do seem to be those from the webmaster and nothing to suggest they came from Louis.
  14. I agree, but you'd think or hope, that he did or has pulled him aside. Not really on is it to admit that you've been turning up for meetings without motivation. He's 24, but in speedway terms he's still a baby. Only his 3rd year in speedway so if he's already struggling for motivation, then maybe best to pack up, go home and do something else.
  15. They're typing on a fans forum not writing for a bloody tabloid!
  16. Neither meeting will be happening, certainly not tonight's meeting. Still time for tomorrow's forecast to change, but change dramatically it'll have to.
  17. Yes updates say's huge delay due to track prep being "messed up" causing Kevin Jolly to apologise. Is it the same guy who prepares Ipswich?
  18. Hawkins is certain to be a big improver. He's never been heatleader material, but has made a career out of being a steady 5-6 point second string. 3.96 and at reserve, is a bargain.
  19. That may be the "official" line, but one wonders if that is accurate. Blackbird's contract was exchanged for Oliver Rayson's, but Rayson wasn't Mildenhall's to exchange as he was an Ipswich asset.
  20. Brady Kurtz is not a 3, and he's not a 5 either. He's an assessed 7.00 average. If the other promoters let this go then more fool them.
  21. The team to beat so far. Just about every rider in that line up looks odds on to up their average, and that's the name of the game.
  22. I can't see anyone here saying different opinions weren't allowed. Some of you Ipswich fans do leave me scratching my head at times. Risager seems to come in for plenty of stick, seemingly for being inconsistent. Well the league, any league come to that, is littered with them. If Risager was a little more consistent, he's be an 8 point rider. If he was a lot more consistent, he'd be a 9 point rider. Next season, every single club in the PL will have inconsistent riders, Riders who are match winners one meeting, and stink the place out the next. Heeps was part of the Ipswich TEAM. Every club that does particularly well has a rider that has a cracking season and puts points on his average. Glasgow won the title in large part due to Nick Morris doing just that, but even they had riders who disappointed at times. You're simply not going to have a team full of riders who will all up their averages and excel. Everyone would obviously like that, but in reality it never happens. Thank your lucky stars you haven't had to put up with the dross that the likes of the Sheffield fans have had to put up with in recent times.
  23. Nonsense. Neither the Norfolk Arena or the Showground come even close to track viewing than Ipswich. Both tracks you mention, are widely regarded to be two of the best racing tracks in the country so few will disagree with your second point. That's not a slant on Ipswich, as since they widened the track and spent an awful lot of money doing so, they also now have an excellent race track too. Maybe just me
