  1. The Rebels top five is as normal but Tom has lost his battle to be fit so Sheffield's Damien Koppe steps in to partner honorary Rebel Lewis Rose at reserve.
  2. I assume it's R/R for Kyle at 2 tonight? If so then Rye should fancy their chances at getting their first points of the season on the board as only Alex and then the reserves can take Kyle's rides. In saying that though, I'd still expect the boys to bring home at least a point.
  3. Might have been slick but as the usual saying goes, the track is the same for all 14 riders. The Rebels clearly had no problem with it, pretty much last out of the gate every time but still won had 12 heat winners.
  4. Poor result for the Rebels. One rider single handedly cost us a precious league point or maybe even a win, quite awful from Newman. Josh had a bit of a stinker but at least managed to score. Anderson scored more or the same as what Tom would have done so no complaints there. perhaps thee hand injury he sustained a couple of days ago hampered Doyley's performance?
  5. Certainly looking forward to this one, should be a cracker with 2 bang in form teams and the PL Pairs champions on display! Would like the Rebels to come home with at least a point from this one.
  6. Coming from Bristol, I got as far as the Airport and decided not to go any further. Grey skies as far as you could see...
  7. Going by tonight's result up at ippo, should be a relatively comfy win tomorrow for the Rebels. Granted, Doyley isn't there tomorrow but Josh, Alex and Kyle looked very good tonight so at home tomorrow they should be even better. The reserves on the other hand were again, very very poor. 1 point from 8 rides between them and that point was a procession as well! Stefan looks okay at home though so I feel that it will be Tom to get the chop soon if he doesn't improve soon.
  8. Our reserves haven't been that good as well so far this season. Stefan has showed some promising signs, especially at the OTA, but Tom has really struggled so far this season and seems to score his points by luck more than by merit. Should be interesting to see who's reserves score the most at the end of the meeting.
  9. Been confirmed on the Rebels' website that Nick has a broken Collarbone and will be out for an estimated 3-4 weeks. R/R for him on Friday shouldn't be too much of a problem for the Rebels as everyone can take a ride. Can really only see an easy home win with some of the Sheffield boys finding it hard at the minute and if Hall is still out then it will be quite a task for the Tigers to get anything out of the meeting.
  10. Branford should add a sting in the tail for the Lions whilst everyone else are pretty handy around the OTA. Wouldn't be surprised if the Lions nick a point.
  11. Totally off subject i know but i'm not sure if anyone else has noticed that out of 4 teams to visit Plymouth so far this season, we are the only team not to win! We didn't even pick up a point! Gonna be nowhere near the title if that continues that's for sure.
  12. Would say that i'm surprised but i'd be lying. Terrible start to the season for the Rebels, dropped points at home already and only a draw away. The tag of title favourites couldn't be more misplaced. A team can't win a title by having riders who score 10+ a meeting at home and then 3s and 4s away. Alex needs to find consistency and Kyle really needs to be picking up his game at 4 if we want to stand any chance of being title contenders. Poor weekend of speedway from the Rebels, congrats to the Devils for tonight and most to likely Ipswich for going through.
  13. Track awful, far to slick and no grip. Racing terrible, 1 line and that's on the inside. Rebels being out gated, devils look far more up for it so far. For defending champions it's really quite a woeful performance. If this keeps up then i'm off home early to a nice warm bed rather than freeze my rear off and watch a poor speedway meeting.
  14. Looks very much like Ipswich or Rye will be going through looking at Proctor's score tonight at Poole. If he rides like that at the OTA then Plymouth could easily nab a point or two and likewise down at the SBA on Saturday, can't see us getting a point if he scores well.
  15. Rebels back up to full strength for this one as Alex had recovered from the concussion he suffered least week so can only see a home win but with the recent improvement in Ty Proctor's performance, 3 points are nowhere near guaranteed.
  16. Well being the defending champions of the League cup i personally believe we should at least put up a fight to retain it. But yes i do agree that the League itself is the main target.
  17. Pretty much down to 1 rider that we missed out on a point tonight and considering the amount of laps he's put in at Ipswich in the past it is really quite embarrassing. If Rye get a point up at our place tomorrow then it's pretty much bye bye league cup but that could all depend on how Alex is.
  18. See my prediction is proving right thus far. None of our riders, Doyley apart, seem to do absolute pants around ippo... Be lucky to scrape a point.
  19. Be happy with a point from this one simply because of the home advantage.
  20. With Doyley having ridden for the Rockets before and with Josh and Stefan both expressing their liking for the track (So much so that Stefan scored his first NL 18 point maximum there) I'd like to think that we could run the rockets close and sneak a win but looking at how they dismantled Plymouth last night then I think a point might be more realistic.
  21. One of the best meetings I've seen around the OTA in a couple of years! I hate using cliches but the scoreline really wasn't a fair reflection on the meeting. Some superb races with lots of passing, a couple of nasty looking crashes but thankfully everyone's okay. Only black spot of the meeting was Barker acting like a giant gentleman's sausage, thought he would have grown out of that but oh well.
  22. If makinen rides for the Witches then I can only see a comfortable win for us but if he doesn't and it's R/R then I can see Ippo nabbing a point as Tungate can take a ride and Heeps, if he has a good night, will also take a lot of rides and score big points. For the Rebels, Tom will have to have a better night than last week as does Stefan who I'm sure will want to show Ipswich what their missing.
  23. Cheers for that! The new kevlars look the piece this year! As does the team of course!
  24. Any news and/or pictures from tonight? Couldn't make it unfortunately...
