  1. Ah thank you for the clarification. Not as good as i hoped but still can't see Fricke or Claus doing much.
  2. Where does poor old Tabaka lie in the Edinburgh averages? I can only see Fricke and the reserves taking his rides and they will most probably not get as many as he would. But in saying that, his last 2 visits have only yielded 5 and 7.
  3. Redcar are hopeful that Dyer will be fit, if not then they have Kevin Doolan on stand by as guest. for the Rebels, it was all looking good for Lewis to return to the side but in his last ride last night for Kings Lynn he took a tumble and aggravated his back injury which will keep him out of all of the remaining play off group matches at least although not sure if he'd be fit for the final (if we get there of course). Olly Greenwood guest in all of them.
  4. He did push Hougaard all the way in his last 2 rides though and if he can perform like he did at Wolverhampton on Monday night then we'll be alright.
  5. Lewis Bridger went with Lewis to hospital and has just wrote on Twitter that Lewis hasn't sustained any broken bones just some very painful bruising. Almost certainly out for tomorrow unless the docs come up with a magical painkiller.
  6. What should have been a relatively easy victory for the Rebels has been made a lot easier with the absence of Kozza Smith. It is a shame because I always like seeing Kozza ride. Hopefully though, there will be no lack of good racing with Aspegren and Bellego in the Bandits line up.
  7. No Claus and no Bates for the Monarchs certainly gives us the edge on this one. R/R for Claus and Ben Morley comes in as a guest Bates. Big chance for the Rebels to build up a decent lead for the 2nd leg up at Armadale.
  8. Easy win for the Bandits this one. Alex and the reserves will be let downs again. Be surprised if we get a point. A Bandits win would be nice anyway to celebrate Ricky's birthday.
  9. Absolutely pathetic from Alex, biggest culprit for us not getting a point. You'd naturally expect the reserves to pick up only a couple but for one of you're second stringers is near unacceptable! He's 2 different riders, always scoring double figures at home but completely loses the plot at the smaller away tracks. He really needs to sort it out if we're going to go through the playoffs.
  10. Is it possible for anyone to keeps us updated on the weather situation down there as I for one would like to know if it will be worth it or a waste of petrol.
  11. According to the Poole preview for their match on Wednesday, a decision on Josh has yet to be made! It says they are waiting for the "Racing Authorities" to make a decision! I think it would be rather unfair on the Rebels if Josh is told to ride for Poole even though he only signed for Poole a couple of weeks ago and the Rebels match was rearranged way before he signed. But as we all know, this is the SCB we're talking about so you never know...
  12. I was wondering the same but surely he would be riding for the Rebels as he signed for Poole after the fixture was rearranged so that rule shouldn't come into effect should it? That's my thinking anyway.
  13. Crikey! Just seen the preview for this one on the Rebels' website and I must say it looks like being an even bigger win than the last 3! Jorgensen guest at 1, R/R for Haines and Brendan Johnson at reserve. No disrespect to Sheffield but if the Rebels don't hit at least 60-65 it'll be considered a poor result!
  14. As i said earlier, i would have been happy with a point from this one as we never go well down at the tiny SBA so to come away with a draw is a good result in my opinion. Fair play to Jake Anderson for his win over Doyley! that could well have saved Plymouth from another defeat.
  15. Is Matty Wethers in place of Bech at 1 and R/R for Cory at 2 or the other way around?
  16. Would be happy with just a point from this one to be honest. Although the lads have been on fire lately, it has been at the OTA. We never seem to go well down at Plymouth, we being 1 of only a few teams to lose down there and not even pick up a point! Doyley, Nick and Josh should be fine but Alex cannot get to grips with smaller tracks so Kyle and the reserves will need to be on it.
  17. Kurtz at reserve is a real threat surely?! Undoubtedly he will take 6/7 rides.
  18. Should, emphasis on the should, be a closer match than the last 2 have been. For Plymouth, Mikkel Bech and Rasmus Jensen are 2 rising stars who's styles should suit the OTA track. New signing Hynek Stichauer hasn't rode in England for a few years now but in that time he could have improved. But what's going to make this match interesting now is that Kurtz is back at reserve. Real shame about Cory not being there as its always a pleasure watching him at the OTA. In saying all of that though, if the Rebels can gate like they did last night and the track is as good as it was then it might just be a little bit easy again.
  19. I see Ashley Morris is out of this one tomorrow. Had a spill for Dudley yesterday and has picked up a wrist injury. Comets only option is a NL guest which swings this tie massively in favour of the Rebels with Morris being the stronger reserve. Rebels must be ruthless and pick up all the points to push for the play offs.
  20. Have to wait and see how this move pans out but on the face of it, it just seems like replacing bad with just as bad! Why was Lambert dropped from Rye? Because he was pants! But as I said, will have to wait and see. Hopefully a change of scenery will do Simon good. Whatever the outcome, welcome aboard Simon and thank you Tom for his efforts. My bad, I've just read that Simon decided to step down and wasn't dropped. Lets hope that the month off has done him good.
  21. No Micky Dyer for Scunny tomorrow according to the Star.
  22. 13+1 for Hougaard tonight for Peterborough at Kings Lynn tonight so hopefully he can score at least that on Friday.
  23. With the OTA slightly resembling the Peterborough track, the only difference really being the OTA has smaller straights, I can see Hougaard adapting just fine especially going by his recent performances for the Panthers.
  24. Going by the BBC and The Met Office, it looks like it should be a fine and dry day with plenty of sun! So perfect conditions and a hell of a match for your first visit!
  25. Taken from the Rebels' website. The ‘Cases’ Somerset Rebels will be looking to build on their excellent weekend as they welcome the 2012 Premier League Champions, the Scunthorpe Scorpions, to the Oaktree Arena on Friday (26th) night. After losing to Scunthorpe in last season’s Championship-deciding Play Off Final by a single race-point, the Rebels were out for revenge this year, which has already seen them chalk up a remarkable away win at the Eddie Wright Raceway and so Friday night will give Somerset the perfect opportunity to record a first ever ‘double’ over the Scorpions. In fact, this match was originally scheduled for the end of May, but heavy rain just an hour or so before proceedings were due to get underway put paid to any action taking place, and since then Scunthorpe have taken the opportunity to strengthen up their side, it seeing one Dane replacing another as Nicolai Klindt coming into the Scorpions' septet for Michael Palm Toft. Both teams will be missing their respective number 1’s, Jason Doyle for Somerset and Josh Auty for the Scorpions as both are required to ride for their Elite League side, Birmingham, that night, and with this being a re-arranged fixture the Brummies have first call on the riders in question. Somerset will bring in Peterborough’s Patrick Hougaard as guest replacement for Doyle, while the Rebels promotion are also expecting both Tom Perry and Stefan Nielsen to have recovered from their respective injuries that have side-lined their pair for the past few weeks and return to the Somerset line-up for Friday night’s match. “After such excellent work at the weekend in picking up 3 away points, we must not let all that hard work to waste and so it is imperative that we pick up all 3 league points not just in Friday’s match against Scunthorpe, but from all of our remaining home matches,” said Rebels team manager Garry May. “Friday’s match could well be a close affair, what with Scunthorpe having strengthened up of late, plus they will be out for revenge after we beat them at their place earlier in the season, but with the way our boys are riding at the moment, it could well be another cracker of a meeting.” Fans are advised that the programme for Friday’s meeting will be that which was produced for the original attempt to stage this meeting back in May but with an updated race-card, these programmes being sold on the night for £1 rather than the original cover price of £2.50. Scunthorpe Scorpions OTA Record P – 9 W – 0 D – 0 L – 9 F – 340 A – 493 Biggest Win – n/a Heaviest Defeat – 65-29 (8/10/2010) Last Time – Somerset 49-44 Scunthorpe (26/10/2012) Teams: Somerset – Patrick Hougaard [g] (9.55), Nick Morris (8.03), Josh Grajczonek (7.42), Alex Davies [c] (5.89), Kyle Newman (5.43), Tom Perry (3.56), Stefan Nielsen (3.00); Team manager: Garry May Scunthorpe – Micky Dyer [g] (8.72), David Howe (7.57), Nicolai Klindt (7.07), Thomas Jørgensen (6.76), Ashley Birks [c] (6.39), Ryan Douglas (3.26), Lewis Blackbird (3.03); Team manager: Rob Godfrey Should be interesting with both teams missing their respective No.1s and in my opinion, Scunny have the better choice on the face of it as Dyer is a regular Premier League rider where as Hougaard is a rather unknown quantity. With Klindt also in the team this match should be a tight affair depending on how the reserves of both teams get on and with Tom and Stefan coming back from injury i should think that Scunny might hold the advantage there. If Nick, Josh, Alex and Kyle can continue their home form then i think we might just get all the points.
