  1. Claus finished on exactly the same average as what Josh will start on in 2013. I would much rather have kept Claus as he is a great character and has expressed his liking for the club and the track on many occasions. Claus also wouldn't be a gamble as he is ever reliable where as Josh last year, albeit hampered by injuries, was so inconsistent it was unreal.
  2. Stefan Nielsen to Somerset on a 3.00 somersetrebels.co/news.php?extend.775
  3. No-one, He wasn't granted patriality so he wouldn't be able to ride for anyone. But he will join the Rebels in 2014 as an asset.
  4. Finally! The wait is over! The long awaited last signing for the Rebels 2013 team has been named and it shouldn't disappoint many either. British U-19 champ Stefan Nielsen has joined the rebels on a 3.00 average after attempts to sign Brady Kurtz were thwarted. Some more good news though is that Brady will join in 2014 as a club asset. Welcome Stefan and now roll on next season! Full story here: somersetrebels.co/news.php?extend.775
  5. Anyone have any idea who the last rider is and when it'll be announced?
  6. Totally agree with you there, Jesper was an inspired signing by the management and gave his all in the short time he was with us, let alone being one of the most exciting riders around the OTA I've seen for a while. Claus would have been fine if he could gave steered clear of injury but as we all know, Speedway is a cruel sport. All being said though, I still think Grajczonek could be a very good signing if he has an injury free season and could easily average between 8 and 9.
  7. Claus was my favourite last year and i'm gutted that he isn't back for 2013. Would have preferred to have him back instead of Grajczonek.
  8. Where did you hear that?! Been wanting him to come back to Somerset for ages but everyone has said that his speedway career was over!
  9. Just been confirmed on the website that all 7 riders will be announced on Thursday and there will be changes. It's hoped the last 4 names for the cracker will be announced as well. Wish I wouldn't have read it now though because it's made me even more excited!
  10. Certainly do, will never forget his move on the back straight on the last lap where he dove between Karlsson and Parker to win us all 3 points. He just hasn't been able to repeat that on a regular basis.
  11. I think that's the feeling shared by the majority of the fans to be honest. It's just a shame how quickly he's gone backwards, just a few years ago I watched him beat the best riders in premier league to become riders champion.
  12. Maybe not so much, just as long as he can be a bit more consistent away. I would still prefer someone younger though. (Morris?)
  13. Got a feeling that come Thursday night we're going to be either very pleased or very disappointed. Just got this horrible feeling that Wright and Monberg will be staying next year...
  14. 1. Doyley 9.17 2. Alex 5.69 3. Claus 7.44/Aspegren 6.40 4. Kyle 5.31 5. Morris 8.00 6. Tom 3.53 7. ? Total of the 6 would be 39.14 leaving 3.36 left to play with. Unless you swap Claus with Aspegren then you'd have 4.40 to play with for the last one and Kurtz is on a 4.38. Now either way i think that would be one hell of a team!
  15. Morris has been confirmed as Swindon's second starter for next year so highly unlikely that we'd have both Doyley and Morris if they both stay at Swindon.
  16. Just been announced on the website, SREF night will be on the 6th of December where it's hoped that some signings will be announced and any updates from the AGM will be given. Confirmation and further details will be given after the weekend. Looking foward to it already!
  17. Well, Seeing as though Adam Ellis has now signed elsewhere, I thought i'd have a pop at a revised line-up. 1. Jason 2. Alex 3. Claus 4. Kyle 5. Jesper (or if some rumours are true, and I must stress that they are RUMOURS, maybe Nick Morris) 6. Tom 7. Brady Kurtz (or maybe even steve worall if past years are anything to go by)
  18. Brady Kurtz may fit the bill. Looked more than impressive in the few meetings he had over here this year.
  19. Anyone know if there is a set date for any signings? If I remember rightly, last year they were announced at a SREF fundraiser. Is there going to be one this year or is it a case of just wait and watch?
  20. Swap Aspregren for Claus then that could be another winning team! Ellis and Tom would be a gamble but both can only improve next year.
  21. Both of their averages would be too high.
  22. More than happy to keep 6 of the current 1-7. They've done us proud and brought us one of the most exciting and most successful seasons at the OTA! My team for next year would be very familiar: 1.Doyley 2.Alex 3.Claus 4.??? 5.Jesper 6.Kyle 7.Tom If one of the 2 reserves were to leave then i'd give Adam Ellis a chance
  23. Don't forget Alex, yes he is awesome at home but somehow has the ability to score 4 duck eggs at Leicester!
  24. Going on tonights performance, Poole would not only want Sam but need him on Friday if they actually want to win anything! Lindgren and Eklof were dismall!
  25. Cheers for that, I wasn't aware of the rules. And yes I do agree that it would be a very shrewd move by the Scunny management if they do it. Whoever the guest, it's still going to be an amazing contest between two top teams!
