  1. When are the idiots , sorry, EXPERTS, in charge of this sport finally going to engage more than half a brain cell when running these meetings and realise that WHEN rain is forecast, you don't bugger about with tedious presentations/introductions and delays BEFORE the first race actually takes place?!!...Its FINE to do all that then there is no chance of any bad weather but thats now 2 out of 5 GP's (SUPPOSED to be the pinnacle events of the sport, although with some of the riders who ARE in it and some who are NOT this year then thats a bit of a joke anyway!) that havent managed to get to their conclusion. No-one can control the weather, BUT you can control many other things and work around it so that the public, once again, don't get short changed.
  2. 9 out of 10 now!!!....(with only the hopeless Harris not winning from gate 1, even though he still made the gate!!). The racing hasn't been THAT bad, but the gates are a disgrace and utter rubbish for the "so called" best meeting of the year!!
  3. Had more quality and professionalism in his little finger than the two shouty twins have in their whole bodies, combined!
  4. And then the dopey Tatum starts shouting "just how good is this track"!!!.....I wonder how much they are paid by the authorities to "big up" everything about this GP EVERY YEAR!!!?
  5. 7 heats, 7 wins from the inside gate!!....what an utter farce!! - the shouty twins are still screaming though!!!!
  6. Agree totally with that. The quality of the racing (so far) and of the riders in this years GP series is arguably the worst for a long long time, with at least 5 riders not in it (for various reasons!) who would have greatly improved the racing. There's only really one winner of it this year, Woffinden (as long as he doesnt get injured). Lets hope that the likes of Emil, Darcy, Laguta's are all in it next season.
  7. Thats two absolutely cracking "international" meetings we've seen in 7 days now, probably will be the best two meetings all season. Sadly, its back down to earth in 2 weeks time with Cardiff and the GP's!! :(
  8. Absolutely disgusting and shows up Speedway as being totally amateurish and lacking in morals, if Hancock doesn't get any kind of ban for his behaviour.
  9. Its was about time that Pederson got a bit of "medicine" from someone for his dirty riding HOWEVER, IF speedway is wanting to be seen by the public as anything other than an embarrassing and unprofessional joke, then Hancock (even more so as he should be setting an example as World Champion) needs to get at the very minimum, a 3 month ban for physical violence.
  10. Once a YEAR is more than enough of this shouty, full of himself, clown!!....as more and more people are saying that he spoils the programmes. Hopefully one day soon someone in charge of the broadcasts will realise that the chappie who does the Swedish league speedway is streets ahead of Mr Shouty when it comes to being a knowledgeable and PROFESSIONAL commentator, and kick Pearson out to where he belongs!!...i.e. as far away from commentary as possible!
  11. Brilliant meeting, best speedway on TV for a heck of a long time.
  12. Uhmm..because Quest +1 is purely a repeat of what was shown one hour earlier!!!....they can't show a different programme than what was broadcasted one hour earlier!! else the channel would be called "Quest 2" rather than Quest +1 !!!!
  13. Well, his English is certainly better than yours!! LOL
  14. Going to be yet ANOTHER great advert for the sport tonight, if this carries on!!....
  15. Was just that second about to say the same!!...clearly had a new set of choppers in tonight!!
  16. Nice to see that more people are starting to see what some of us have said for a LONG time now about "Mr Shouty"!!!..... Better late than never I guess!!
  17. Utter farce and disgrace for a professional sport VERY lucky to still have all the media and TV coverage that it gets, when you consider all the factors! However, on a controversial note, i actually thought the "green light" starting procedure worked really well. Look at all the races that were started under it and apart from one rider (Doyle) in one race, not a single rider moved an inch before the light went out. Now compare that to races (in normal meeting) starting at the tapes, and you will see at least one rider trying to "cheat" (and more often than not getting away with it) by rolling, in virtually every race. Was it no coincidence that "certain" rollers tonight who are normally first out of the gate, were not making them under the "green light" starts and others who normally never move an inch (but also often "miss the gate") were doing better at the starts (i.e. Harris). Like someone else suggested, surely in this day an age we could employ some sort of combination of a green light and a laser marking the "tape" and position of the front tyre, to cut out the cheating and very annoying presence of the "rolling starts"?
  18. ....and we ALL know now that he only cares about finances and not one hoot about actually giving the fans good and exciting racing!! The sooner he is finally kicked out and allowed the tracks to prepare surfaces that we can have good racing on rather than his slick rubbish, the better. One thing you can normally be pretty sure about with any GP in Poland, is that it will be good racing but one thing you can normally be pretty sure about with any GP's on "temporary" services, is that it WON'T be!! Lets hope tonight bucks the trend but I fear it could be another "trappers" heaven
  19. Fair play Gordon, sorry I misinterpreted your message. That's a bit of a blinkered "head in the sand" statement! ("it would appear that there are around 5,000 fans in total who travel around"). It's fine that you don't like the racing but there's no need being ridiculous about it!
  20. Well, if having 12+ races of 25 - 35 competitors in a race instead of 4 and 15 - 20 laps of action each race rather than 4 and for £2 - £3 cheaper admission fee is classed as boring by yourself, then thats fine, but judging by the crowds at the meetings, there's a LOT of people who don't agree with you. Why should it be "trouble" that "more people have the taste for stocks and bangers than speedway" then?....when the product on offer is much more exciting and better value then people will naturally prefer to spend their hard earned money there. It's up to those in charge of Speedway to do something about it to make the racing more exciting and value for money. I enjoy BOTH forms of racing but I have absolutely no doubt about which one of the two provides better value and excitement!!.There were at least 5 times more people at the Stock Cars on Saturday night at Lynn than last Tuesdays Speedway meeting and even though I never saw Buster there (he often is), I bet he would have been wishing he got even half that size of a crowd at all the Stars meetings.
  21. I do have to agree with that. Quite why the cretinous Pearson and sidekick STILL keep banging on about how good the track is at Lynn these days is beyond me, as Screamer so correctly says, there isn't much passing on it anymore (mind you, thats pretty standard for MOST tracks in speedway these days too, sadly). BUT to blame the track for that pathetic and unprofessional display from Lakeside tonight, really isn't fair as they were, quite frankly, an embarrassment and its no wonder when you see utter tripe like that meeting was tonight on TV, that no-one turns up anymore at most tracks, apart from the "big" meetings.
  22. I wouldn't hold your breath that "Mr Shouty" will have anymore understanding or be any different about ANYTHING again this season than previous years!!.....well, apart from maybe he will have developed a different version of the "monkey noises" he resorts too, instead of actually commentating, if anything exciting ever actually happens!! Such a shame that the chappie who does the Swedish speedway on Eurosport (or infact just about ANYONE, ANYWHERE!) wasn't given his job for this year!!
  23. Spot on with that. Stuff the politics and childish personal vendetta's that so many in here have, ALL I am interested in watching are the very BEST riders competing for the World Championship and that certainly isn't happening in 2015. Hopefully whatever it is that is preventing Emil from competing (and Laguta, politics?) will be finally sorted this year and if Ward keeps his nose clean this season then he also deserves a place too, so that finally in 2016 we WILL have a World Championship with the best riders competing in it (injuries permitting of course).
  24. Spot on although it ain't really the messing about at the tapes that is the main culprit for this. Said that for ages now. People aren't going to pay the expensive entrance fees if a meeting starts at 7.30pm and is over by 8pm!! Also think of all the revenue from the bars, snacks, burger vans etc that will be lost if people were only there for 30 mins or so!!....Its OBVIOUS to anyone with at least half a brain cell that the meetings are dragged out on purpose for longer than really necessary purely because of financial reasons.
  25. What a couple of totally ludicrous statements from someone clearly totally biased against Ward. Even IF he gets no further punishment (which I can't see being the case) he's not been able to ride in several GP's in 2014, for several matches (and play offs) for his league clubs in various countries and in things like the Australian Championship, so how in the name of God do you come up with such ignorant and stupid comments that he will get off "without punishment "?!! and "he doesn't really miss much racing out of those 12 months"!!! Peoples ignorance really does beggar belief sometimes!! For what its worth I think he SHOULD get a 12 month ban, but if that runs from August to August then how isn't that fair?!!!
