What happened to Danny Warwick?
-
Leigh Lanham?
-
What about, in no particular order; Fisher Lasse Ulrich Blackbird Dak Jacobs Sarj/Branford/Perry?
-
Sergeant and Blackbird could be reserves with Sergeants connection with Coventry but on the other hand I could also see Blackbird and Jacobs as his also local and was Strom number 1 rider last year. Jacobs would be stronger imo. Glad to see the panthers back, lovely track!

To be fair JJ has never been given the opportunities like one or two others over the years and that goes for a lot of these lads. Those who can remember JJ at 15, will remember how undeveloped his body was. The lad looked about 12, body weight was no more than about 6.5 stone if that and rode a bike especially adjusted for him. So was he a Lambert-no his lack of body development wouldn't have been possible! At 16 he was runner up in the British U18s and beat the likes of Howarth and Garrity and unlike the other four in that final JJ has had to wait a further 3 years to get that opportunity. I for one am glad to see these lads finally get given an opportunity. I hope JJ and other young lads go on and improve each year as we need a future if speedway is to survive.

What about young Joe Jacobs, the lad rides the track well and has now got his first season in PL under his belt. I remember seeing him in the u19s at Sheffield and getting a fast time that could win heat 2 most weeks? His a young Brit.
-
Wasn't wee Joe, the only rider you had who's average increased, while all others decreased? Sounds strange to hear people saying he wasn't great when he was one of the higher point scores for Tigers most of the season away from home and your youngest rider? Strange thinking??

Glasgow Tigers V Edinburgh Monarchs Lc 26/5/13 @3p.m.

Not sure i get this? I through Ipswich still has a problem with their number 2 spot? Ipswich fans have been saying Richie Hawkins is doing the job they needed but is only temp cover? If you look at this weeks speedway star you will see Richie Hawkins is on a 4.20 average at the moment which is the same as JJs? Looks like Ipswich held the missing card all along? Either way his a local lad and I would have throught Ipswich folk would like to see him do well? -
Kings Lynn Young Stars Vs Coventry Storm 8th May 7.30pm
Bolt replied to rhidassa's topic in National League Speedway
I really enjoyed this meeting! Both teams gave it there all. There was passing all round the track. Does King Lynn record NL meetings, if so can anyone tell me who record them. As for having the option to watch either Elite, Premier or National, well I live close enough to all three leagues and my favorite is with out a doubt the National League. Because riders are developing each year, you really do not know who will progress and how much each year, which makes it more exciting because the races are not so predictable. -
Any up-dates on how the Strom boys got on yesterday at P&P day?
-
I have to agree with others, a very interesting and fair assessment Spinny. Good post.
-
My money was on Robert Branford but after reading Mildys website both Robert and Irving are out of the picture. I think Ben Morley would fit in well at Mildenhall but I think he will be already within the Kent setup.
-
How about Danny Philips then?
-
How many points has this team got left to play with?
-
The Glasgow presenter is going to have a field day, two Joes, two James' and Harley and Henning

Good to see a young brit given a chance, well done Glasgow. Like many others who have seen this lad progress in the NL, it was his turn to step up. Joe's a nice tidy rider and seems to have a wise head on his shoulders. Stick with him and im sure this lad will thank you for the chance you have given him in do course. Good signing
-
They maybe something in this with some Brits but I don't think this is the case with JJ. This lad has shown his commitment to speedway and is spending a second season out in Oz. The lad has travelled the lenght of the UK with his NL club and for the odd PL chances he got such as Berwick & Workington. He also has spannered for Dak North thoughtout 2012 home and away.I get your point but I think Villiers210 is only trying to say that the lad deserves than opportunity and i have to agree.

Joe Jacobs seems to be holding his own out in Oz at the moment, see below taken from AustralianSpeedway.com & MWA ' "Another perfect Perth night for the second leg of International speedway events in the past fortnight at Pinjar Park. A good sized crowd enjoyed some very exciting racing from all divisions on show but it was the internationals most had come to see. Big hitters Ricky Wells (USA) & Ricky Kling (Swd) where a class above the rest as the International All Stars def the Oz Hot Shots 60 - 44 in a well received teams format meeting, something new for the Perth bike punters. Wolverhampton star Ricky Wells (15pts) as Captain rode a faultless meeting for the All Stars and was well served by Ricky Kling (10pts) and three very talented young Brits in Joe Jacobs (8pts), Kyle Newman (8pts) & Kyle Howarth (8pts) with local riders Doug Scoble chipping in with (4pts) & Jake Lewis on (2pts). The All Stars dug deep and were well managed throughout the night by former Peterborough star Nigel Flatman who revelled in the position. The boys all rode their hearts out tonight and i couldn't of asked for a better result Flatman said after the meeting." Also at Rob Woffinden Classic Wuffy was able to rise to the occasion and dive underneath Kling for the lead as they raced down the back straight for the first time. He kept the momentum going during his final two heats to emerge unbeaten on 15 points. Next best – and seeded into the semi finals with Woffinden were – Ricky Kling (Sweden) 12, Ty Proctor (Victoria) 12, Ricky Wells (USA) 11, Daniel Winchester (WA) 11, Cameron Heeps (WA) 10, Simon Stead (UK) 10 and Joe Jacobs (UK) 9. Danish rider Morton Risager just missed out – being beaten on a countback with Jacobs after also scoring 9 points.

I would like to see another young Brit given ago at 7. Apart from Berwick so far, every team has pick at least one NL ride, which can only be a good thing for British speedway. I personally would like to see Jacobs given ago, the lad never seems to get a decent opportunity. Either way i hope Plymouth has a better year, always a good crowd when i have attended.
-
Early days but I am liking Dudley and IOW teams so far.
-
Who knows Heathen 1984, all the team signings in the NL so far seem to have changed a fair bit. I wouldn't be so sure at this stage whether Jacobs does sign but only time will tell.

What happened to Shane at the end of this season? He hasn't ridden for a while, was he injuried?

Now Witches are out of the play offs, it would be a good time to let Jacobs get some PL experience if he is to progress. -

Has Shane been injuried as he didn't ride in the U19s this week?
