Laugh Out Loud.....it's British Speedway
rob tatum replied to speedway_dan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Speedway dan and fromafar great posts agree with everything you say. Me and the wife and our 3 friends haven't been to a single league match this season the reasons are :- too expensive ,taken for granted ,complex rules and takes far too long. We decided to club all our money together and have attended cardiff and will be attending copenhagen and torun GPs instead. I am a fan of 38 yrs its my choice but there an exciting event and league racing has become In our opinion a shambles. -
Who makes up these rules stephen hawking ? What a load of soiled pants. Rubbish complicated rules for a simple sport.

Well done eurosport 1st class coverage and its refreshing to watch the parade and the presentation rather than heuwen and ermolenko talking b******* or heuwen just saying how much he loves gollob. Thanks eurosport your doing a great job.

Crikey what a shame last year on the day at the box office we paid £97 for 4 adult tickets opp the start line. Bloody love the GP series and have gone to quite a few all over but this really is a disgrace. May I suggest a stern email ,letter phone call as £ 45 is just not on probably won't do any good but you never know.

British GP 2013
rob tatum replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I am not a creep and I am of a sound mind. I thought the track was poor which made the racing a bit of a lottery BUT people giving it 0 out of 10 and not going back and then saying they paid £60 for a ticket b******* I paid £29 for a great seat and had a great day. For god sake this is a forum but most people on it moan about everything. Most won't be happy until speedway dies then you won't have anything else to moan about then will you. 3 hour drive back to bristol now that was something to moan about -

Just on way back from cardiff really enjoyable day they put on a great show. The track looked rough so credit to the riders. Well done to bomber involved in a great race but he is slower from the gate than my step son getting out of bed in the morning. Bloody love the GPs -

A huge wind up by riders and officials ? Why would they do that ? Or maybe it was just a shale mountain out of a mole hill. -
What makes me laugh are that the clowns who run the clubs are called Promoters they should be fined under the trade description act. I just think there still running the league like it was many moons ago times have changed and I'm afraid speedway league racing has not. Its easy to get your sport on local news and local rags also facebook etc etc do they even try. What amazes me is the amount of customers I deal who say they used to go and loved it but haven't been for years, that tells me there is an audience there it just needs to be told speedway still exists yep and its still bloody great. Far too expensive thou under 18 s £3 inc programme and adults £10 inc programme let's be honest most programmes are tosh so a simple scoresheet would do for most. All imo. But the sport is dying just hope its not terminal.

British GP 2013
rob tatum replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Ok hotels are expensive and parking is pants BUT its the same as most major events in this country. The ticket prices are fantastic value IMO. Done my back in this week but will attend in a borrowed wheelchair it will be like andy and lou. YEAH I KNOW ! -
Honestly don't know the answer but it has always amazed me that riders aren't excluded from a race for dangerous riding when the rider pushed into the fence or out wide didn't fall off. Can think of many incidents of this happening but nothing is done. Mind you don't suppose mr pedersen would be very happy but then people say its just hard riding.

Sick Of Bad Sgp's
rob tatum replied to jamescarter's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Personally I love the GP series yes some are better than others but overall I thinks its great. My only gripe is the lack of media coverage which is a real shame ,mind you with the elite league shambles that is going on that hardly helps. -
Having attended 3 one off world finals I feel people that slag off GPs for not having great racing are talking rubbish IMO. I attended in 1980 in gothenburg when michael lee won now that was an awful meeting ,penhall at wembley had 2 great races and gundersen at bradford again had a couple of good races. Of course its all about personal choice I prefer the GPs roll on cardiff and torun.

Prague Sgp
rob tatum replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Coverage was terrible ? Really ? I didn't think it was, the gp was not bydgoscz but it was ok. Just one very minor gripe what happened to the starting girls ? They all looked about 12. Roll on cardiff should be great. -
Prague Sgp
rob tatum replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Went to prague gp the year emil won crowd looks good the racing is always a bit strung out but I still love it. In front of the tv with a nice curry ,nice crisp wine ,nice crisp wife ,speedway ,monster and starting ladies. Heaven. Thankyou eurosport -
Speedway fans are expected to pay top money equivalent to 1/2 div footie to watch a team full of riders that don't ride for your team ,stand in a shambolic stadium ,loose the will to live as 15 heats takes 2 hrs ,scratch our heads at the ever more baffling rules. I still go but not as much I wonder why. ?

Chris Harris Cardiff Wild Card
rob tatum replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Did someone really say that because chris harris will be at cardiff then they won't ,well in the words of victor meldrew I DON'T BELIEVE IT. Reading all this bile about mr harris I can only presume he is a really unpleasant person and a stain on society. Well personally I am glad he is there and I hope he does well after all he is a brit and he gave me one of my fondest memories when he won the GP in 2007. Best of luck to all. -
Must admit The 1st half of tonites gp was pretty much as I expected ,when I was 16 I went to see michael lee win the world title in gothenburg and the meeting was dire. Ivan mauger said the track had an adverse camber which is NZ for crap. 2nd half of meeting was fantastic with great racing well done to emil and the riders what brave men you are thankyou. As for the commentary I M O I like pearson and tatum and as for people calling them names grow up just be thankful its on tv ,eurosport are doing a great job. Well done to all
-
Even though I share kelvins surname I am not related to him or mr pearson in any way I am not friends with either of them YET I like there commentary. Keep up the good work and roll on the next GP.

Bydgoszcz Gp Saturday 20th April
rob tatum replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Fantastic GP with several brilliant races and 1 race that will go down as one of the best ever ,great coverage ,great commentary with dynamite ladies (loved the long socks and heels ). Sorry but I disagree with a previous comment re the NZ gp saying it was dire ,ok it wasn't as good as this but I really enjoyed it BUT this GP was very special. Thanks to all involved. -
Couldn't agree more NO STUDIO GUESTS please ,I thought the NZ gp was great and happy with tatum and pearson BUT if they get heuwen back I may blow my brains out he is pants
