  1. “Good”, that’s the word. It could have been very good.
  2. Err ... except that wasn’t the point that I answered, which was whether Ippo could sign a good number one. They didn’t this year and don’t seem to have done so yet for next year.
  3. Desperately searching? Really? Sheffield pop into the PL and sign Pedersen. Leicester signed Vaculik and Przedpelski. BV sign Kildemand. Ipswich sign Chris Harris. It’s not the riders that are lacking, it’s the ambition.
  4. Out of interest if six teams qualify for the play offs next year, this year’s top six included Somerset 41.97 and Sheffield 39.61.
  5. You seem to be infatuated with Poole. I’m just glad that we won’t have to put up with the cheating.
  6. There’ll be bigger crowds this year to watch the Champions, especially when Sheffield and BV come to town. Poole have been a bit low rent and underwhelming for the last few seasons.
  7. Mikkel B Andersen came in on 5.2 originally, as do all of the Danes who have ridden in their top league it seems. http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/files/downloads/c18_issue_3.pdf Except Sam Jensen was a 5. http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/files/downloads/c19_issue_27.pdf
  8. Could have been better! Nicol instead of Nicholls is plain daft in terms of a 2020 title challenge.
  9. And for extra insurance, isn’t there a Bygone Days section? Could Pathe News film Poole now?
  10. The Swindon top four should score at least 40 every week at home and 36 away, so 10 from the three man tail should be the target. My worry is that there will be plenty of matches where Rowe scores 0. If Stewart or Perks doesn’t kick on and become a solid five pointer, Swindon will be fighting for fourth.
  11. Not for me. Sheffield are more balanced and stronger over all. Swindon will face some battles at home and pick up few away wins.
  12. Here’s the Danish averages. I assume any newcomer would be 5.2? Makes Jonas B Andersen good value on his 2018 Redcar average 5.91 and Birkemose a fantastic one on 5.2 (although he seems to be in Poland already). https://dt-speedway.dmusport.dk/ranglister?classID=781&divisionID=13 Here’s another article on promising Danes: https://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/7917/madsen-and-iversen-named-in Cracking speedway nation!
  13. Shame it wasn’t Musielak. Different class as a rider to watch. Very good, well balanced side though. Favourites.
  14. Blimey, that’s a bit harsh. Surely there’s a chance of the NL first?
  15. Yep. And riders that the fans should identify with.
  16. Classic Ipswich connections, why not! Competitive too.
  17. Hope it’s Musielak. Perfect signing.
  18. Oh, thanks. Not quite as bad then. Vissing, Hans Andersen and Mathias Nielsen would be good! Or ex-Somerset Grobauer or Jonas B Anderson. Hans Andersen Clegg Mountain Wethers Vissing M Nielsen Phillips
  19. .... unless they all crash out in the first meeting!
  20. Well, if it’s just Brits, Newcastle are in trouble because Connor Mountain on 4.73 looks like the highest averaged unsigned rider!
  21. I wonder if Rosco even looks at the averages on the BSPA site! This year he could have signed Rasmus, Josh Pickering or Jordan Stewart instead of Lampart at the start of the season. In fact we could have had Rasmus, Pickering and Stewart instead of Zach, Shanes and Lampart.
  22. Does that mean Newcastle can sign only British riders? How did you manage with Matt Wethers?
