  1. Shovvy tootling back to Toad Hall celebrating yet another point gained by the Pirates! Lol
  2. For heaven’s sake, give me a chance. I’m getting to it. Regards, DC2, The Home Office
  3. Nope, the only riders spotted in town today are your regular seven, sat in the stocks with rotten tomatoes thrown at them. Probably the worst team ever selected.
  4. Lighten up smugrats, it’s not as if you’re bottom of the league ....by much.
  5. Really? Where in Swindon are you? We had 5 mins of thunder and 10 of drizzle! And, no, they’re not Poole’s new signings! (That’ll be Shock and Awe - or as they’ll come to be known, Shocking and Awful).
  6. To be fair, Poole’s new riders have only done the same as everyone else who moves to Poole: RETIRED.
  7. Ah, love Talking Heads ..... not quite sure you’ve nailed the lyrics though!
  8. True, but such are the averages! Would Riss and Nielsen average more than Bellego and Smith?
  9. Can’t be bothered to look but let me guess, Rybnik v Poole?
  10. Awww that’s fab! Anyone else remember when Poole had a decent team? Errr ...... nope.
  11. Good point about the riders and their earnings. I guess double uppers currently have more than 50 meetings here and some more abroad.
  12. Sundstrom and Kurtz eliminated from the GP qualifiers while Jack Holder and David Bellego go through.
  13. Seven man teams for me too. In one big league. Assuming the BSPA can come up with a well thought out plan.
  14. Did you say you’d win ANY meeting? You’d have been closer!!! Lol
  15. Injuries and riders riding abroad would be covered by other riders from abroad, guests, R/R, careful fixture planning and fixed/preferred race nights just like now. I can’t see how one big league would be more financially crippling. I suspect that at least 16 of the current 19 PL and CL clubs would be viable with the other 3 dropping to the NL if necessary and if there were a season after season disparity like Premier League football the more successful, richer clubs should subsidise the poorer clubs in the interests of having a competition.
  16. Nah, it’ll come down to whether Rosco allows you to keep your best rider.
  17. He’ll be your number 1 by then!
  18. Thank god for Rosco lending Poole Stefan Nielsen in the interests of a competitive eight team league. Just imagine if Fraud and Muddlo had been left to their own devices.
  19. Insufficient riders is a myth. There are plenty for one big league, especially if we have fixed race nights of Monday and Thursday and two NL Brits at reserve.
  20. Was I the only one to see it on BBC South Today tonight: “Matt Ford awarded rear of the year”? No, not for his shapely bottom (although avidly admired by a couple of voters dubiously named “Shovvy” and ”Starchman”), no, this was for his “smack our arse” team selection! Who’d have thought it, three years in a row!
  21. To be fair, KL are looking good .......... whereas Poole, well, we’re all just luuuvvvvving the look of them.
  22. News just in, it’s Poole, yes, Poole, in sixth ........ don’t get vertigo Pugwashers. 23. Don’t think he’d tarnish his reputation by riding for this Poole side.
  24. Yep, the only smashing this year’s Poole team has done is smashing itself to pieces. What a shower!
