  1. Why would any club that enjoys a fantastic attendance for any meeting in August BH week, choose to have play offs that early? It would be a waste of a decent pay day.
  2. So many clubs are required to hold a minimum number of meetings over the 6-7 month season as part of their stadium rental agreements. Obviously they want/need all meetings to be 'meaningful' in order to maximise attendance through to the end of the season. If clubs only hold meetings say April to August then a stadium landlord could easily say the sport is not worth continuing. It's why building teams to improve, winning and continuing success are important.
  3. How many leagues is Basso doing in 2023? Is it 4 or 5?
  4. Yeah so much more important it needs to go to a Championship track with no issues! Err oh hang on.........
  5. Should have been switched to a neutral track then! It's not as if the Bates family don't have previous experience is it?
  6. Yet he was the first to come on here with news of the postponement!!
  7. If its also off on Sunday will it be a triple header on Monday at NDL Prices?
  8. Exactly! but scheduled fixtures are not yet completed. Ben Cook for example recently said on Piratecast interview that he is not booking anything until all the trophies have been competed (1 down, 2 to go!)
  9. Where is it suggested they wouldn't be? Does the same apply to Nick? With the Sheffield Pairs now scheduled for Leicester on Monday, what is the proposed 'rain'off' date if Saturday fails to materialise (see what I did there!)
  10. Yes but against many of the Championship heat leaders who are also in the Prem. Ben Cook would have picked up loads of Prem guest bookings if his current visa allowed it! This will change for 2023 when both Poole Cooks intend to double up! So its a matter of who gets in first, so with Louis and Ford both mates and on the BSPL Board of Directors, who knows.
  11. Poole had probably their best attendance of the season on Wednesday, so playoffs (and finals) are certainly a financial benefit to clubs that are in them. For example Leicester will benefit from 3 coachloads of Poole fans plus many travelling independently who wouldn't necessarily all go to a normal league meeting.
  12. The very strong rumour, especially on the back of potentially more Polish league riders becoming available is that BSPL want to make the Prem stronger ie higher points limit and Championship weaker with a lower points limit. The exact points dependant on how many clubs are declared for each league and who buys the biscuits at the AGM?!
  13. Maybe they are using the Garry May pad of medical certificates - surprised he's got any left to be honest?!
  14. Sheffield Pairs now at Leicester on Monday 31st October.
  15. Not true. Cooks are not booking flights till all fixtures are done. Howarth will be missing though!!
  16. King and Ben Cook make a decent racing pair - as evidenced every Poole meeting!!
