This brings back the question of Should speedway be promoted as a 'family sport'? It's been so for decades and look where that has got us! The crash and fight between Allen and Wright got more publicity from one single incident than a whole season of the 'family-friendly' approach.

You assume that all clubs have freedom of access to their stadia on any day. That's simply not the case. Also dictating to fans, let alone riders, when they must attend to see, or be in, their team wouldn't work imo.

Unless they get special dispensation to delay until say Jan 1st, then expect an announcement next month at AGM.

Surely coming up through the ranks, young riders want and need to learn how to gate first. Overtaking etc etc comes with much more experience

Spoke to Nic when he popped into the Poole office and I happened to be there. You do know he spoke with Danny b4 the season started but his gsa was too high along with his Danish commitments to take the risk. There were some fun times when he rode for Poole.😆

Its more about ensuring the stadium can provide their staff - many of whom have regular jobs elsewhere at weekends in clubs, bars, restaurants, security etc etc.

I've made this point before but what domestic OUTDOOR sport have the Hearns taken on and done well with. They have done excellent things with INDOOR, mainly INDIVIDUAL - or at best PAIRS - eg Darts, Snooker, Boxing. They have not done team or league sports run in outdoor venues that are subject to weather. OK get them interested in the FIM SGPs if you can but the likes of domestic speedway needs a different sort on entrepreneur. Hopefully Harry can attract someone from the Footie or Horse racing worlds - or are they just about the gambling opportunities? OR maybe the name Pierfront Developments might start appearing? That would be a great 'hook'!!

To be fair there is something you can get watching netball that you can't get watching most speedway!🤣
