Well if it is called off and Friday is not an option then moving into next week will mean team changes/guests. -

Serious question - I thought Buster had had enough and was packing it all in?? -
Absolute bullrubbish! from the mid-eighties to 1999 Poole had one of the sports wealthiest owners in the late Mervyn Stewkesbury, together with an experienced back-up team including the old National League Administrators. The Fords took over in 1999 and spent 20years in the Premiership (Elite) winning it several times over, much to the chagrin of some of the more established owners/promoters. Of course crowds dropped a little when the team wasn't doing well - as is the case with ALL teams. PS> There's nothing wrong with being at the top of any sport - as long as the club remains profitable.

There can be a blue groove on the inside of bend one as a meeting progresses, but this is usually in the hotter, drier days of summer, which Poole have more than their fair share of. Rushen has put in some decent times when he's done some after meeting laps and when he did the Harbour Masters meeting. -
The 40 point limit was agreed for 3 years (unless they change it at agm)!

I doubt anything will be announced till the post-AGM statement next month.

It's rumoured thatToby's Danish League commitments next year will be Wednesdays rather than spasmodic weekends this season.

No way is it an ongoing ethos. Team building is primarily down to points limits. Once the 1-7 is confirmed and they have their first get-together the riders give their opinions on track prep. Obviously this will change as the season progresses and the weather/temperatures change., but still its all about being successful. This season's declared objective was to go for the treble - the double treble. That's what will be in the record books rather than whether one or two meetings may not have been entertaining! In a tight meeting, close racing can be just as entertaining as a few passes. Especially if the home side is winning

I thought Steve Worrall had retired?

TNT SPORTS only took over from Eurosport at the start of this season. How long is the contract? Not wanting to renew could be a lot further down the line!?

Good.

As already stated one meeting with the track specially prepared does not make the whole season. Local/regional media report on winners. They couldn't give a rat's backside if it was entertaining or not. If greater media coverage generates greater attendance, then those additional fans keep coming back, as Poole's attendances over the season have shown. Nobody has answered my earlier question of how much media coverage Glasgow Tigers got after Friday? I'm interested to know having spent almost all of my working life in regional media and large venue management.

Anders has a groin injury which won't improve without treatment and rest. He also injured his left arm which was so swollen he had to be helped with his kevlars. Also he did have a stomach upset during a recent away meeting, threw up and needed to be helped back into his pit bay. The groin injury isn't helped by Anders' riding style of coming from the back ( because he can't gate for toffee).

What's at stake for Poole is giving their fans what they want and keep coming back every week. Also having a team that wins means more publicity on local and regional media - tv, radio, newspapers and online, which in turn can lead to greater sponsorship and attendance. All leading to greater financial stability especially as there are longer term doubts about Poole stadium. If or when that happens GB speedway will be even more worse off, despite all the Poole haters.
