Just for info I see the Team GB guys won the 4-team meeting in Germany yesterday wearing race jackets rather than team racesuits!!

I believe Sky insisted on Team racesuits when they had the TV contract. BT make no such insistence and pay virtually comparatively nothing for the broadcast rights. Its definitely a cost cutting exercise by those clubs that have chosen not to have them.

How do we know what the new averages will be as we won't have ridden 4H/4A til end May??!! So who knows who might fit and who might have got a bit of form by then?!

Kacper scoring double figures (paid 13) for Rybnik again but Mateusz (back in for Cook) continues his Thursday form with only paid 3. Brady (paid 12) continuing his steady start for Leszno despite Piotr Pawlicki returning and scoring a max 15 points. Tough to score when riding with Piotr, Jarek and Emil!!!

Only Tungate that isn't in form yet! Would have had Kurtz instead, although his performance in front of Lemon at Belle Vue probably swayed the decision.

The local Echo speedway reporter has stated CH will not be riding on Thursday as his personal issues are still not resolved.

...maybe because his issues are not in Poland?? We,ve heard he's now got his new passport (Australian?!) - maybe his visa for the UK is still only a 'visitor visa' rather than a work permit?! Maybe the visa/work permit rules for Poland are different to UK.. Maybe maybe not.

Most weather tends to come from above, so I tend to always look upwards!!

...and with the number of away meetings to come before Poole complete their 4 homes, it'll be end May/early June before new averages kick in!!

Whats all this about KL introducing 4 riders from each team each doing an individual lap before the meeting to see who gets the fastest time?? Or is this just a way of seeing if the track prep is acceptable?

Definitely Yes!!! My son and his best mate - both late 30/early 40 and regular fans over several years - attended their first meeting of the season on Wednesday. When the parade began and the music started, they both looked at each other and burst out laughing - and that was before we got tonked on track!! Personally although of pension age myself, what happened 70 years ago means very little to me and I really hope that after the Birthday meeting on Thursday, we can move forward. MF has mentioned 'changes to the presentation' a couple of times and I sincerely hope there are to be things of a more modern era in the pipeline.

The 2 Poles plus the 2 Aussies and 1 Swede may not find it to their liking!!! Love to be proved wrong but if we can't gate then we won't pick up anything especially at Monmore. A minimum 10-12 point win for the Wolves.

Absolutely!! But I'm sure CH wouldn't want to risk Buster providing a dodgy track again nor to be responsible for increasing attendance and putting more money into Buster's coffers!!

Holder's hoped for return is Poole's 70th Birthday meeting on 26th - but even that is not confirmed as yet. PK's minimum 28 day cover wouldn't have commenced until Poole's first scheduled meeting - albeit postponed - on March 30th.

Poole only proposed Wednesdays (rather than Thursdays) when there was an impasse at the AGM because 2 Championship clubs -I assume Ipswich and Redcar - threatened not to run if they weren't allowed Thursdays!! Thursdays have always been Poole's official 'rain-off' day so no issues for them.

Apologies. As a sponsor myself I was advised by a fellow sponsor that such a conversation had taken place. I presumed it was prior to the meeting but maybe it was on an earlier occasion. In any case I had no issue with the watering, it was the number of racing lines that was being suggested.

First chance to get on the forum since last night. What a disappointment for Pirate fans. Pirates were well beaten by the Robins in virtually every department - aside from PK (and he's a Swindon asset!!). I congratulated Rosco last night and don't think I can add anything else to this thread other than to question all the flack about Linus?! At least he scored in every race albeit against 'less-skilled' riders. Incidentally Glyn Taylor spent some considerable time pre-meeting chatting to some of the sponsors. In his opinion the track has several racing lines - even though they weren't apparent last night. The track prep was very different to last week due to the weather so maybe Glyn needs to sit down with the Poole riders and explain how their set-ups should be. Anyway haven't heard how Josh G is after his crash. Hope he's not injured - although if MF needs to make a temporary replacement, he has one ready made for another 28 days at least!!
