So the usual several pages of bs following a Poole trouncing of the opposition. I really can't understand the issue about 'oilgate'. I would go as far as to say that every speedway track in the country has used oil to help bind 'iffy' shale. Even the renouned trackman Buster suggested using it during the infamous 'first bend hole' incident a few seasons ago which caused the KL call off!! With the oil being put on the track after the meeting I guess we'll have to wait to see if Leicester 'ride under protest' at next week's Wimborne Road home meeting?! I can't add anything else about the meeting other than to say that 3 Poole riders set their fastest race times of the season so far. (NB. For those arguing the environmental/H&S issues, last night's meeting was actually sponsored by a Health and Safety Compliance Specialist!!)

What was wrong about my post? Lambert has asked to be excused from the test match because he needs a break (he's fatigued!!) - his words not mine! The fact that he'd booked a short break is largely irrelevant which is why i didn't mention it. I don't blame him for wanting to take a break. The point of my post on this particular meeting thread was whether his fatigue plus his Swedish commitment this evening plusgoing to number 1 would have any effect on his performance?! We shall soon see tomorrow.

Robert Lambert has asked to be stood down from Team GB on Saturday due to suffering fatigue! After back and forth to Sweden today/tomorrow plus the added pressure of being the new Number 1 for August, it'll be interesting how he does at Wimborne Road on Wednesday. Poole won 58-32 back in June when they hadn't started reaching any form at that point.

Klindt replaces Woryna in the 1-5 for August.

Don't they have play-offs in the Championship then? Riders are usually contracted to end October!!

Just appeared on the Poole website and Facebook - the rearranged Poole v Leicester meeting (from 30th May) will be on Thursday 9th August!!

So changes in riding order for both teams with the new August averages coming into effect, will be interesting to see how Robert Lambert 'copes' with the Number 1 race jacket. Similarly how will Nicolai cope with being back in the 1-5?! ...and will Josh G be riding or will he be banned depending what 'rules' are followed tonight at leicester?!

Just as a matter of interest, the current rules (18.8 Facilities) state that if 'no facility' then a SGBC rider with an MA of 4 points or less can take the place.

There is absolutely no way that 'most teams will finish by end August' - this year or next!!

The promoters (BSPA) meet every month or so believe it or not so they already have a fair idea of the AGM proposals etc. Its probably why the likes of Matt Ford are tempted to get out of the sport?!

Danish Federation have approved Hans to be at Leicester so if he isn't then a potential ban could be on the cards.

Although your announcement was heard clearly in the section where I sit, it would seem that not everyone heard it. It would be useful if the possibility was also put on the club website/facebook and twitter pages, just to keep fans aware of the option

Matt was still awaiting clarification from PZM re Josh (Josh also said the same when asked in the pits). As far as MF is aware Hans is in the Leicester 1-7 for Monday, much to Lodz' disappointment,

Matt Ford said last night that he was still awaiting clarification from the Polish League (PZM) over Josh's appearance due to him having taken out a Polish Licence. He also said that Hans would be in the Leicester side, (unless money talks or Hans doesn't fancy it after last night?!) Assuming Josh is missing and Poole are allowed a facility then it'll have to be r/r as you can only have a guest for your number 1 or if more than one rider is missing.

I think thats a very fair prediction. Whatever the track guys can do to prepare the track in this blistering heat will mean the track is different again for the home team so anything can happen. Looking forward to it though. Meeting sponsored by Hans' main sponsor Meridian Lifts, so he will want to do well.
