  1. ....but some clubs can afford more than others and that will always be so!!
  2. I'm sure I've read somewhere recently - probably in the Speedway Star - that someone in authority is stating that clubs should be encouraged to increase their asset lists!!?
  3. So MF hoping that the Poles confirm the relaxation of the 3xleague rule asap as it could delay the confirmation of the Pirates 1-7. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/speedway/PiratesNews
  4. Why/how will there be fewer fixtures at home in the SGBP?? There are quite a few FIFA World Cup matches scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays (even Thursdays for Swindon!!)?
  5. ....as long as the opposing team isn't built with two 4 or 5 point reserves!!
  6. As has been said many times before - "If you want to make a small fortune from Speedway ----- Start with a large one!"
  7. So with the BSPA apparently 'listening to the fans' and with the FIFA World Cup fixtures in Russia now confirmed from mid-June to mid-July 2018, I guess there could well be some 'enforced' gaps in the Speedway fixture list when there are potential clashes with the more popular footie matches. Monday 18th June is the first date that might see no SGBP meetings as its England v Tunisia on TV at 7pm. There are a number of other fixtures potentially clashing with both SGBP and SGBC fixtures through til Sunday July 15th. Thoughts?
  8. It might have been Vaculik but as the 'weaker' teams started to complain about 'fairness and competitiveness' and the '8 & over' rule was adopted, Brady was already confirmed, so MF let Leicester snap him up!! (Just after MF proposed Damien Bates for the MC probably )
  9. For anyone that attended the Tatum and Pearson show this week, did BT's Natalie Quirk give any comment/clues on 2018 coverage? I know she's only a presenter but every time I've heard her speak she has been positive about 2018 coverage and particularly keen to continue to cross-promote their UK coverage and their SGP schedule.
  10. Yeah and we know exactly which Championship clubs to blame for that!!!!
  11. Yes but as I put on the Poole thread, the relationship that MF has with the local paper speedway reporters allows him to approve the whole article!!
  12. 4. check the differences in machinery used in each country and apply the appropriate multiplier/divider!!
  13. Maybe not - but the relationship that MF has with the Echo means that he wouldn't have approved the article without it being correct. Also as far as 'discussions with Kacper during the 2nd week of December' are concerned, MF usually hosts a Sponsors Xmas Party in that week and usually introduces another signing?! ;-)
  14. For each of the minimum of 10 TV meetings, couldn't each of the 8 SGBP teams get one of the GP stars to guest for that meeting.?? The £3k from BT could go straight to the GP rider, with extra fans attracted to that meeting (and possibly others) on the strength of seeing a couple of top riders they wouldn't normally see?? Silly idea maybe but thought I'd try thinking 'out of the box' before the sport ends up in one!!
  15. Woryna - although NOT confirmed as signed for 2018 - will be on 4.65 as reported by MF in today's local Echo!!
  16. But at least the article confirms he will be on 4.65
  17. Of course Chris Holder will be on 7.16. He's on the BSPA list as such, as that's what he achieved in 2017..
  18. That so-called statement was incorrect as confirmed by SteveBrum who was at the fans forum. Matt Ford's name was NOT mentioned in any way in the context of 9 point GP riders.
  19. The way Middlo is quoted in the SS and previously in the Echo, it would now be a major shock if Chris Holder isn't in the 1-7!!!!
  20. Woryna is listed in the Speedway Star today on 4.65.
  21. Oooh I think I'll have to brush up on my Polish!! :-)
  22. The BT/SGP/BSI contract is totally separate from any BT/BSPA arrangement.
  23. I'm sure he can -- remember how much his weight ballooned last time at the other pub. His missus Julie is in charge of the cooking.....!!
