  1. But if the league is attracting back some of the top riders - not Kildemand specifically - then the league should be stronger not weaker!!
  2. People complaining that the rules are too complicated seem to want to make it more so!! The heat leader races in the 2015/2016 were theoretically harder as they were racing against other heat leaders more in that race format. If anything, for any heat leader with a high average from a harder race format who didn't race this year, there is an argument to reduce their 2016 average accordingly to suit a weaker league in 2018?!. But why? Just use their 2016 'real' average unless they've been out with a serious injury
  3. Oooh I guess I'll have to get more used to Danish pastries then!!!!!!!? ;-) ;-)
  4. Inflated averages were only brought in for team building this season after the EL and PL rode to different race formats in 2016. If a rider did NOT double up in 2016 then his inflated average was used. If he did double up then his PL average was used for team building to a 50 point maximum in the Premiership With the 2017 race format being the same in both leagues this season their is no need to use any figure other than what riders actually achieved this season.
  5. NKI will be on his 2016 EL average of 9.04 - unless its deemed to be adjusted downwards due to his injury?!
  6. Magic may well be tempted back as he has so much sponsorship in Poole - something he doesn't get in Sweden apparantly, even though he may sign up in Sweden again?! But he won't make any final decision until his season is over and he's had a chance to take a break!!
  7. Zagar rode last year as did Woryna for Poole so last season's averages apply. Lindback hadn't ridden UK for more than 3 years so the rules allow for an adjustment. Simple really.
  8. Zagar should be on his final 2016 average of 7.48 (unless its deemed to be increased due to his GP performances?) lol
  9. As Lisa has stated correctly - it wasn't just Kyle's girlfriend!!
  10. What's to translate?? Gdansk have hard evidence that at least one of their riders was approached with a bribe (money and a 2018 contract) to 'under perform' in the 2nd leg against Torun. The rider produced the evidence to the Gdansk owners before the 2nd leg and all Gdansk riders were informed (in case others had also been approached) - again before the 2nd leg took place - which Torun won comfortably to maintain their place in the Extraleague. Evidence has been presented to the Polish Authorities - watch this space!!!
  11. Ok I own up. I couldn't count the 'Woffys' as I kept nodding off. But I was also surprised at the number of times Nigel said Yes very much so' after Kelvin had made a decent observation - well into double figures!! - And that was only in the bits I was actually awake for!! I'm not sure whats worse - the fact that I started counting or that I'm sharing it on here??! Roll on March 2018.
  12. OK guys and gals - how many times will Woffy get a mention on BT Sports tonight?!
  13. Before everyone jumps the gun, clubs including Poole may have to have a Plan B, C or D as it would seem that talks with the Polish Authorities in Torun over the weekend did not go as well as expected. (Aside from Gdansk claims that Torun tried to bribe at least one of the Gdansk riders prior to yesterday's 2nd leg of their Promo/rele play off!) I wonder if the previously suggested relaxation of restrictions by the Poles might only apply to non-Polish riders rather than all riders in the Extraleague?? I would imagine that the Poles would still want ultimate control/priority over all Polish riders!? Maybe different for Swedes, Danes, Aussies, Russians, Slovakians, Slovenians, Czechs?
  14. Torun to be fined by FIM for 'bribing' Peterborough to release Jack Holder??! Nah surely not!! lol
  15. More likely to have Doyley and both Holders!! ;-) Season's fixtures could presumably start a bit later - mid-April - (using something to do with the new stadium works as a 'reason' for not starting in March) so that Holder senior can finish his ban.
  16. When the Monday/Thursday fixed racenights are announced it won't mean Mondays AND Thursdays every week for all teams, it'll be Mondays some weeks and Thursdays in others.
  17. He can't fly can he????? ;-) ;-) Added to which he'll undoubtedly pick up an injury in Gdansk this afternoon!!!
  18. I don't get why people are thinking this 'fixed night' proposal has only just come up. The BSPA members have been discussing introducing it for at least 3 agms in order to give clubs the opportunity to decide the best 2 nights for the Premiership and negotiations to take place for other clubs and their landlords where necessary. Premiership clubs have been used to running on Mondays for TV. Wednesdays (the other main option to Thursdays) would impact on the Danish League who the BSPA wish to keep in with and would impact on some Danes who will wish to race over here!! Championship teams will have the pick of all the other nights/days. Our 'beloved' BSPA Chairman has stated recently that all clubs affected are in agreement - they just have to vote it in at this year's agm and rubber stamp it!
  19. It'll really screw up certain people's 2018 plans if Leicester manage to win this!!? ;-)
