  1. The main question is when will Brady be fit to return? He is currently not in the 1-7 so could return in place of KK at 1 with Richie staying on after his 28 day contract?! Otherwise a rider like Greg Hancock or Jarek Hampel would fit the bill for KK
  2. I think that's a little harsh Steve - I mean a broken finger nail could keep a rider out for many a minute!!!!!!!!
  3. ARR is when a rider is declared absent/injured and r/r operates for his programmed rides. Those rides can be taken by any rider with a lower average plus the rider with the next highest average. IRR is when a rider starts a meeting has to withdraw from that meeting through injury. His programmed rides can be taken by riders with a lower average only. You can access all this season's rules and regs, including those that have been added or changed since the start of the season, from www.scbgb.co.uk
  4. I think KK was 'told his fortune' tonight. Whether that means he'll still be riding Wednesday we shall have to wait and see.
  5. What 'tipped the balance' Poole's way was the fact that Poole's 5.5 riders scored more than Wolves 5.5 riders on their 'reputedly well prepared 'home track. You can only beat what's put against you and I repeat with Poole taking away points from EVERY away SGBP meeting this season, I'll take that consistency every time. Just try to get over the FACT that your 15 point home win prediction including a Poole T/R was way way off the mark!!
  6. So Poole continue their run of taking points from every away league meeting this season. Of course there are those that will say its only down to luck (and have already eh Gav?), but missing our top rider (Brady) and losing a reserve plus with a mis-firing KK I'll take that 'luck' every time. Hope Kyle Howarth is ok
  7. They'll be referring across to Monmore for the 'top 4' meeting and it'll give Nige his usual chance to give Woffy a mention!! lol
  8. Poole have got something out of every away meeting so far - but will tonight be different? Not Poole's favourite track by any stretch but Wolves not firing on all cylinders either, so fingers crossed for a close meeting to give Kelv and Nige something to comment on during the sun breaks at Leicester!! :-) As well as the obligatory mention of the former Wolves rider not currently riding anywhere in the UK -- except Cardiff. :-)
  9. Is that correct that Riss and Bjerre are both riding at reserve?? Are/were both eligible for NL then??
  10. I guess Doyley wants at least one meeting to get into the swing of things before Cardiff. He should do ok now that the Poole track has been smoothed out. I see another close one.
  11. It was reported that his illness was 'stress-related' - I just wondered if it was down to the stress caused by some of his riders refusing to race, that's all!!?
  12. Yes very good on Nicolai being open and honest about his situation (@nklindt) on twitter. Wish him well for his treatment and for next year.
  13. Anyone know if Mr Allitt's collapse happened before, after or during the conflab that resulted in the riders' refusal to race??
  14. How many of those tracks have you actually visited in the past 18 months, ie since the start of 2016 season?
  15. All clubs are reducing admission prices for the BT meetings. How's Batch go at Leicester?
  16. Expect Batch to be getting booed by the Stars faithful at AFA on Wednesday (KL v RH). If he's not it'll be because of injury or disciplinary action!!? I'm sure someone from BV or Wolves will step in
  17. Its cheaper on subscription as I have my pension to consider!!! In any case I wouldn't see 'my mate' during the winter months, other than at one of the monthly Poole fans' social evenings/quiz nights!!
  18. The SCB should impose similar fines to those given to Coventry management and riders in that infamous Bees v Pirates Sky meeting a few seasons ago - albeit the fine for the club was later rescinded!!
  19. Doubt Doyley will risk it in GP week, so lets hope the Robins use Batch again - he simply loves Wimborne Road! lol (Oh wait they can't 'cos KL are racing!) Also hope Lahti gets a few practice laps in before then. Just musing about the play-offs - if its BV, Wolves, Poole and Swindon, I wonder who BV would pick?!
  20. KK will complete his 4H/4A meetings v Somerset on 26th July and get his new average - just before the cut-off - by which time Brady should be close to a return. A Poole friend of mine suggested Brady back at 1 and either use KK as 3rd heat leader or keep Richie Worrall instead - depending on scores prior to 28th. Thats always assuming Jarek Hampel doesn't want to come over?! (only joking, honest!!) :-)
  21. Another great result for the Robins. It sure looks like the BV boys have suffered the worse SWC hangover than most! It makes the play off situation much more interesting with more teams in the running, especially if Rye beat Wolves tonight and the Robins (with injury-free Batch guesting again) beating Leicester on Monday?!
  22. Rumour that it could be Timo Lahti for Klindt? 5.45 last average I think
  23. Perhaps the KL press officer and the Swindon press officer should have got together to get their stories right before announcing he was guesting?!
  24. That last bit above is not 100% correct!! Anyway moving on - My Speedy Star only arrived today (a day later than usual) so I've only just got to read it. After the debacle at the AFA yesterday, there is a quite incredible article in the Kings Lynn column entitled 'Losing Grip'!! The opening paragraph reads :'Grippy tracks such as those in the Kings Lynn Stars Premier League days are on the wane.' It goes on to say how riders and management appreciate the sport has changed over the years.....' "Stars staff point out that a repeat of conditions which contributed to the previous (Premier League) success - namely an ultra grippy surface - are simply not possible due to the evolution in modern machinery." The article goes on and on. Pick up a copy - you will be astounded.
  25. What the journo's tweet actually said was 'Pirates news in next 24 hours'!! It didn't mention anything about riders.
