Judging by the article in SS this week, Manchester Council will have a major say in who the new promoters are (stating the obvious there!!) so I would imagine they will prefer someone with top level Speedway and solid business experience, along with a recommendation from BSPA/SCB.

Don't many people also work on Saturdays (and Sundays)?! The last thing they may want to do on a Saturday evening is to take the family out to Speedway - or anything else for that matter!! If they do, there are many more family-friendly activities than a speedway meeting!!

Not sure why people expect 'news' over this holiday period?? Its highly likely that if further negotiations are still ongoing that not all the participants are available to continue until the new year!! Just to add to the rumour mill - I heard that ex-BSPA Vice Chair Jon Cook might be overseeing the new promotion which might still include Mr Carswell?! But maybe that's who FF was alluding to?!

As much as I love watching Chris Holder race most of the time - and will continue to do so - it does annoy me somewhat when Riders start talking about loyalty!! Aah yes loyalty - that well known two-way street!!

The SGB logo options are still up on the SGB twitter feed from December 19th, along with the percentage votes at that time for the 3 options. I'm not on twitter but can still access the options.

As the statement says, they also have to decide on their preferred racenight - which would almost certainly have an effect on which riders might be available.

It looks like a mix of Option 2 and option 3 has been selected with the Gold, Silver and Blue options for Prem, Champs and National respectively. One or 2 clubs have begun to use them especially NL for which its less of an issue. Despite 58% of just under 1000 votes opting for Option One!! I do love a bit of transparency and fan involvement!!!

According to today's SS, Brandon Estates are challenging whether all the fixtures and fittings are indeed Sandhu's to remove - maliciously or otherwise?!

Its never good to post bullrubbish when you can be found out so easily!!

This is all a power struggle with Sandhu taking his toys away because he doesn't like the terms of the new Horton lease with Brandon Estates effective 1st January (even though his spokesman has inferred differently). Brandon Estates feel they've been kicked in the teeth because of the damage done in removing the fixtures and fittings. If the insurers/police find that anything was done maliciously then I would think the terms of any lease from 1st Jan - be it for Speedway and/or especially stocks - will be worded somewhat more strongly than originally verbally agreed. If I was in Mick Horton's shoes I wouldn't be issuing any statements either - at least not without Brandon Estates agreement and probably not til after Jan 1st.

So the BSPA members ie the promoters are often criticised for not having a plan and for thinking too much about the now rather than 2-3-4 years hence?! As soon as one (MF) openly states he is planning for the future, its suddenly all wrong!! If anything its the fans that are only mainly concerned about the coming season!

Rob Lyon is running Kings Lynn (read their press release back in November) so Buster can 'assume control' of the Leicester promotion!!

Maybe but Ellis isn't an asset and Kyle has been named as a future Pirates captain by MF!! Which is why favouring riders that spend the whole season UK-based is part of the longer term plan!!

Maybe the poster isn't who he says he is??! Of course Buster's heart will always be at KL - he owns the stadium!!!! Well done to him for all his BSPA efforts though!!

If people bother to read the full announcement then they'll know some of the reasons why Brady over Kacper!! With the leagues currently going for a lower level whilst continuing to save costs, MF is continuing his longer term planning to bring through Jack, Brady and Kyle for the future, whilst at the same time hopefully building a team that will compete in 2017.
