  1. Not that I'm attempting to read MF's mind but I guess Adam Ellis would be a heat leader in a number of Poole suggested 1-7s - hence the unfortunate decision not to be able to fit him in!!
  2. I don't see how NKI can/will race in UK as if the Poles carry out their threat of limiting riders to only 3 leagues then NKI has already committed to Denmark, Sweden and Poland. As for Adam Ellis, I don't think his inflated average is wrong - according to his ability or potential - its just that he's been treated differently to ALL the other EDRs because he rode NL rather than PL. I really don't see why an EL/NL conversion rate couldn't be used?! Anyway at the moment he cannot be fitted in to whatever Poole's 1-7 will be and he hasn't received a single offer from any other Premiership club. Only one offer from a Championship club too. He's already got a team spot in Poland and is now actively looking to other European leagues for a job (He raced a few in Denmark last year) Such a shame that he's showing much more gumption than others to seek places abroad when his own domestic authority make it so difficult for him in this country. Anyway nuff said - others will disagree and that's their prerogative.
  3. Can't find anywhere that officially states a team can only have a max of 2 double-uppers?! Can anyone point me in the right direction for the official confirmation.
  4. You'll be lucky to get Chris holder on 12.01. He's 12.53 (from an 8.95 final EL average) Why is the SpeedwayGB twitter - as it appears on the main page of the SGB/BSPA website - 'unofficial'?? If its 'unofficial then so is the official post-AGM statement from the same source!!! So maybe we shouldn't believe anything that's appeared so far as its all just unofficial conjecture - apparently!!?
  5. The minimum average for a foreign rider is now 4.00 apparently. (SGB twitter)
  6. I think that all the Aussie boys - but in particular Watt, Schlein and Batchelor - should be contesting every meeting in Oz over the winter - especially the Aussie Championships. Their performances will give a good indication as to whether they have overcome any injuries and/or off-track pressures from this past season.
  7. I think people need to realise that the payback to MCC is for the whole arena facility - not just speedway!! Yes I know that BV took on the whole responsibility but now it would be in MCC's interest to appoint a new Arena management specialist with the BSPA negotiating a lease agreement at a realistic price for the speedway facilities. Even the latter could be split into two parts - one to operate League speedway and another to operate the larger national/international speedway events! PS. SGB reporting Buster Chapman 'travelling the UK' this week to negotiate the Belle Vue and Leicester situations!!
  8. Check my post Steve0 if its not too much for you. I didn't include Ellis in my 1-5 for the reasons given!! Do try to keep up.
  9. I think the mods are on their winter break - and probably waiting for the BSPA to complete the 2-week assessment of their AGM decisions to consider the potential problems!?
  10. Rory - if fully fit - on an adjusted average of 7.17 (EL 5.12) would be a steal for many clubs. Similar bracket to Batch!!
  11. Perhaps he knows who the promoter is going to be??!
  12. I went for Poole assets at reserve and mainly Poole assets in the 1-5!! That way we couldn't be accused of nicking anyone else's riders to get an unfair advantage!! (Plus the fact that Adam's dad has said he can't see any way that Adam could be included in the Poole line-up)
  13. So with all the AGM decisions being based around the old PL format and averages, does that mean admission to all tracks will be at PL/Championship prices?! Should be at least a quid or two cheaper for the majority of the 2016 EL clubs?!
  14. Apart from the 'news' about the stadium and the fact that 'all teams' have to have 2 Brits, everything else was in the BSPA statement. As its the first time I've seen anything vaguely official about 2 Brits in each team, I wonder if the Brits will have a % reduction of their average?!
  15. As far as the 2016 EL averages are concerned there were no more qualifying meetings after the Column C 3/10/16. They were waiting for the Lions v Stars meeting to make the list 'Final' but we all know what happened to that!! Anyway as we're in the silly season how about this...... Andersen 10.01 Holder (J) 7.16 Gomolski 7.71 Batchelor 7.36 Watt 7.63 Newman 6.31 Perks 3.00 (or any other Brit reserve up to 3.82*) Total 49.18 (NB. The Swindon Co-promoter Bowden on radio yesterday stated that all teams would have to have 2 Brits, but not necessarily at reserve!!?)
  16. Pleased to see Jim Lynch back in the sport. Good bloke!!
  17. The BSPA said pre-AGM that fixed racenights had been considered but were just not practical for all existing and new clubs at the senior level.
  18. I listened to that radio interview and don't recall any mention of 'midweek'! In any case Dave Darcy may not be part of the new promotion so how could he possibly say what day they would race on other than to confirm it would be in the EL/Premiership!!
  19. I wish that people who are suggesting line-ups would use the correct averages (the final version from 3/10/16 is on BSPA website) otherwise the converted figures are all to cock!!
  20. Reported elsewhere that both Holders have signed for Poole (and Torun!)
  21. Andersen doesn't ride in the Polish Extraliga!! A bit like Harris, Nicholls and a few others
